Below basic at above average cost, apart from the comfortable bed I can think of nothing to recommend this place. More like poor grade airb&b. I travel and walk a lot staying in French hires, shelters and Spanish religious, all much better than X in every respect

Only good thing was the man on the desk checking us in, otherwise I can’t say I’ll stay here again. There must be nice rooms downstairs but upstairs felt like nobody cares about them as they’re cheaper rooms, don’t think anyone’s given the room a proper clean in a while as there was fresh bedding

The hotel was a self check in, didn’t provide all the information in one go. Lack of communication on their end when trying to check in, delayed response times/ignoring, etc. The room was small, not like the pictures, felt as if we were catfished, would not stay here again.

mouldy bathroom could'nt use it had to use friends room! how can check in take 40 minutes ! shame about this place is its a dump but in the perfect spot. i would'nt reccomend this hotel to a dead rodent, they have even left this place

The pictures on the website do not match in person. The room was too small and no amenities- no toilet paper, no soap, fridge not working, no cloak hanger. The room was not ready even though paid for early check in. The early check in was misleading and asked to pay extra payment on arrival. The hotel room is sub standard and health and safety risk. The room has poor lighting and too hot and expensive cost for the room. I would not even dare recommend this hotel. This is a scam.

Didn't look like the pictures online. Peeling wallpaper, general unkempt vibe to the room, and also the room seemed to be on a slope. The door to our room wouldn't fully close. Awkward way of getting in and out of the room (the keys were tied to the door), facilities listed on the ad for the hotel just straight up weren't there. The view from the window was just a blank wall. The man at reception was very friendly and helpful though so they're doing something right.

Awful place do not book here

Horrendous! I left and checked out within half an hour! Check in was terrible via whattsapp, key code to private bathroom outside did not work so no acces to water or toilet. No communication available with hotel.. they still have not replied almost 24 hrs later! Will be chasing for a refund ... had to book another hotel for our night away.

Stay away from here !!!!

Absolutely terrible experience would stay away from this hotel very unprofessional turned up to no codes for doors then told our room wasn’t clean after waiting an hour we then got put into the room room that also wasn’t cleaned ! Then had to wait two hours for correct room to be cleaned come back and the staff told us we haven’t payed after realising they were mistaken our room was not ready till 11pm at night but had no choice at that time also rooms are nothing like images and dirty only one staff who was very very unprofessional

It was scam to fool people coming to that beautiful city. it was not at all the way they showed or described that was totally different and in some old scary basement smelling foul. It was horrible.

I had non stop problems with my stay with the X hotel - thought for Brighton it was reasonably priced with the room being for 5-6 people ‘DELUXE’ family room but when we arrived it was a box room with dangerous wobbly staircase we literally had to crawl up to get to a loft room where we had to crawl to the beds too. The beds were hard, 1 plug socket upstairs. Definitely NOT the room advertised we booked. The walls were half painted, dirt & dust all over the floors, a bathroom door that didn’t shut. A kitchen the width of my arm basically in a cupboard. It’s the most shocking room I’ve ever seen especially for the £300 price for 2 nights. On top of all that I was asked to pay multiple fees for ‘insurance’ and ‘breakage’ deposit. DO NOT put your card details outside of Expedia as Expedia mentions because they will start randomly charging your card. I was charged for the room again too so all in all around £650 was taken out of my account which set me back for my stay in Brighton. Eventually after many calls and hours later (ruining the whole of our first day in Brighton) they refunded the duplicate room rate but not the rest. Getting hold of any staff from this property is mission impossible. Even weeks before our stay unanswered questions and only automated message we had was when they wanted money. Never have I been so disgusted with a service & have put in a complaint as we should be refunded. Photos taken to prove all of this.

The images this hotel sells its self on are soo misleading a smashed window mouldy flaking walls dirty floors food on walls all self service check in on my second night the front door closed was left open for entry previously I guess because was broken means another guest stuck outside for 1/2h trying code to get in no one answering no or msg system ended up having to clim through my bedroom window when realised it was unlocked to gain entry all round awful hotel no customer care or pride in building DO NOT BOOK

When arrive 3pm and I’m shock not finish clean room and never ask me about bring passport or driving lesson card so. I did bring bus pass with photo .. why add pay for not late?? Only mr in room and my deaf friend company chat then he go home not stay overnight.. next time I will not in room again.

Pain in the arse to actually get into the hotel. With different door codes. No staff on site. Piles and piles of dirty laundry bagged up outside our actual room down a narrow corridor which was hard to get ourselves and luggage in room. Absolutely filthy nothing like the photos on line. Pubes and stains over bedding, dried blood in bath, bugs and insects everywhere. Stains on carpets that wasn't even hoovered before we arrived. Full dirty bins that we had to empty ourselves. We even went to Tesco's to buy cleaning products as it was just too gross. No storage at all Everything didn't match not even the same length curtains. Everything was wonky, curtain poles. Wonky blinds. Even our small double bed was uneven and wonky, our heads down a slope while it felt like our legs were in the air. My eldest daughter suffers from OCD so thinking I've booked a very stylish clean boutique style room from the photos on line. I couldn't have been more wrong. We had to leave early and cut our stay short. As the lack of cleanliness sent her in a mental spiral. Very noisy at night times. Fire alarm was going off for ages and no stuff on site to check or sort that out. No flooring in the bathroom just splattered paint everywhere. Used chewing gum just spat out of the window seals. Very small cramped rooms for how much we paid for a family room. Very disappointed 😞

It was dated, in need of serious repair work, the check in experience is not straight forward and I got charged more that I expected. Fire alarm nearly falling down from the ceiling, one window would not stay open, stains in the carpet, smelly, old, towels missing, extra bed not done up, TV signal was too weak to be able to see any channels Only stayed one night as bed was so uncomfortable, with springs hurting all night long. This Hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was an expensive Dump to say the least. The room was tiny extremly dirty, carpets had never seen a vacumm leaner in months. Shower leaked, more water on the floor than in the shower. The customer interface totally unacceptable. Check in a night mare via whats app. I have the transcript of the conversations should you like to see the. All in all a very bad experience for a seasoned traveller.

Paid for arriving early. But still wasn’t let in. Message the office no response. Saw staff entered property so then was able to talk to her. If o hadn’t of seen her I sure I wouldn’t have be able to stay. The room Hadn’t been cleaned from previous visitors. Room in very poor and dangerous conditions. Bathroom cabinet door was not being held by any screw. Which then led to the cabinet door, falling onto my 11-year-old son’s head now has a cut was bleeding. Told the reception lady sitting in the hallway. She was very blunt. Came into the room and just took the cabinet. No apology nothing! Maybe she was having a bad day. I would rather stay in my car. Honestly waste of every penny.

On arrival, I spent an hour and a half in reception over a dispute where they were claiming that my booking was in a different name despite me showing them all of my proof that it was in my name then would not let me go to the room without paying an extra £25 charge Because they said it was booked in another name which is simply not true. The people in front of me also having a big dispute over extra charges and we were all at the reception. Somebody came out of the room. They just checked into saying there was broken glass on the floor and urine in the toilet. !!
