I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my hotel stay during spring break. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely unpleasant from the moment we arrived.
When we entered the lobby, there were multiple people hanging around inside and outside who did not appear to be hotel guests. The front desk employee openly stated that she did not care if they were there as long as no one reported them. This immediately made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
Additionally, the elevator was not working. When we asked about assistance with our luggage since we were staying on the second floor, the front desk clerk simply told us to “try our best” to get up and down and offered no help.
Once we entered the room, it was clearly not properly cleaned. There were no towels in the bathroom, and the bed had a very strong body odor smell. During the night, the alarm system started going off. When we called the front desk to ask whether we needed to evacuate, the employee was extremely rude and told us we just needed to deal with it while she tried to turn the alarm off.
The next morning I reported that the room had not been cleaned, the bed linens smelled, and there were still no towels. We left for the day expecting it to be addressed. When we returned that afternoon, nothing had changed. The bed still smelled and there were still no towels provided.
