Our stay here was perfect— 5 mins from the ferry to Mackinac, very clean and modern interior, and check in/out was quick and easy! This is a perfect place to stay, we didn’t mind it being on the smaller side as we spent most of our trip out and about. For the price you cannot beat this especially compared to other surrounding options!

We loved everything about this spot. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors but that's the only real bad thing I have to say. Everything else was wonderful from cleanliness to comfort

Great find!
Super cute convienant and clean stop-over for points further north! Newly remodelled and surprisingly vomfortable for an older drive-up motel. Love the concept or a remotely operated hotel, no office on site.

The exterior of the Inn did not look like anything special, but inside was marvelous: completely modernized and full of thoughtful and unexpected amenities.

The room was really nice and clean. It looks like it was recently renovated. There was a good amount of kitchen supplies like coffee cups, plates, and glasses.
I loved the remote check in and check out. It made it simple to check in and check out with two dogs in tow.

Clean - Cute - Perfect
I never leave reviews but I have to for this one. We find ourselves in/passing through St Ignace often … the hotels are all old and leave much to be desired. This place is the exception … feels new, is immaculate, beds were exceptionally comfortable, perfect little sink/counter space. And all 5 min from town. We loved it and this will be our go-to from now on!

A nice surprise along Rt 2 in St. Ignace
The interior of the Inn was freshly and beautifully renovated!!!
Very clean. Modern. Comfortable.
It is near the lake so it naturally was damp and buggy outside. Some flying friends came in with us. That’s Nature but may bother some people.

The unit was renovated. Its very clean, the bed and pillows are good. The property is on the side of a highway so I can hear vehicles passing by at night. I also hear the next door occupants flushing their toilet. The sink on the bathroom is so small. So, we just used the one in the kitchenette. I liked that dishes, cups, utensils and several glasses are provided in the room.

Love the rebirth of the motel-great fun! And, to have a price point that’s affordable in touristy area is fantastic!
This is the first time we’ve stayed here on our trips to the UP. The room is nicely updated, it looks almost brand new. Very comfortable beds, lots of towels. Great in every way.

Good sized room with King Bed. Clean with modern fixtures. Walls were thin so conversation in next door rooms made sleep difficult. Traffic noise was also a concern. Good location.

The Inn at shady pines is maybe the most attractive roadside motel style place you’ll ever see. Rooms are tastefully decorated and fully updated. Great shower. Comfy mattresses. Smart TV. Very clean and neat. We did have a small problem and the management addressed it professionally and immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Pleasantly Surprised
When we arrived after a long drive. It was perfect for our family of four! The beds were really comfortable and we were impressed with the condition of the room. My wife and girls were pleased about the amount of towels we had. They had one each for their body and hair. Speaking of the shower, after our long day, the water pressure and the temperature of the shower, were amazing. My wife and oldest daughter even commented on how good the shower was. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely stay there again if I travel across the bridge.
