Not A Great Experience In 429 Summit

First I Had Paid Extra To Have a 3 Hour Early Check In It Took 1 HOUR For Correct Code To Get In ! Then Bathroom Toilet Was Full Of Poop ..We Had To Wash Dishes Before Use Had Dryed Food On Them Then Went To Turn Lamp On The Bulb Actually Was Hanging Out ??? BROKE !!! The Elevators Have Always Been A Nightmare There Staying On 1st or 2nd Floor is Your Best Bet ..... I Will Never Stay In 429 Or Anything Southern Owns I Have Pictures I Always Do Pictures When I Arrive

The property was in excellent condition and the staff was very helpful. However, the 4 o'clock check-in was a nightmare because everyone was trying to get into the building at once. If the room check in times were staggered it would be better on everyone.

We loved the room and the location communication prior to our arrival was off, I was sent a Code for the door then the day we were traveling was sent an email saying they need a CC on file which is fine but on the drive down wasn’t the time to be doing that due to cell service issues. We loved being on the 14th floor but the elevators at the resort were horrible they only had 2 and they were constantly breaking down and so hot inside. The pool isn’t open after dark and doesn’t open until 8 a.m so that was also disappointing. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

This unit is old but was clean. It is not 2 bathrooms like we were told. It is a bath and a half, with a flimsy door btw the toilets that doesn’t close all the way. The bedroom (only one bedroom) is on the parking lot end. There are 2 bunks along the hallway, so not set up for 2 adult friends

Reasonable

It was very nice but they only gave 1 face towel and the tv channels were hard to search for. The toilet was kind of loud when flushing and there were no stoppers for the tub or the kitxhen sink. Overall, I enjoyed it and it was a reasonable rate so we will be back very soon!!

We love it at the Summit! Right on the beach with 2 huge pools. They have a Tiki bar and Bikini Bobs to grab lunch. Our room was great.

Place was dirty and rundown. Never sent a property manager to inspect the place when we called requesting a move right away. We stayed one night. There was not even a shower curtain in the bathroom. Ceiling was flaking, furniture and curtains stained, not properly cleaned. It was not equipped or maintained. it was not fit to be rented out to guests for a week. We left after one night as it was too late to find something else by the time we arrived that night.

Health and safety hazard

Extremely dirty, and not healthy to stay in. Found black mold under sitting area in living room. Had some type of moisture and water issue, there was two dehumidifiers in the unit. Walls were separating from moisture, a lot of tile was coming up, and plenty wall damage. Didn’t appear to be cleaned, we had to buy bleach to clean mold, after checking in, we searched around for another unit and couldn’t find one so we had to stay there.

Not so good vacation

The condo lacked basic ammenties (toilet tissue) the big towels were not cleaned and there was no face towels. The communication was poor with front desk. The locks didn't work on the bedroom door. Security gave a hard time.

Mold smell. Mold on lampshades. Mold under lage area rug. Dirty drawers and floors. Pee smell in bathrooms. Rusty front of dishwasher and inside food particles in trap. Sinks and tub needs scrubbing. Original cupboards all over warped. Crevices had dirt and food in kitchen on floors. Refrigerator missing shelf bars on door. All furniture dirty and musty smelling. Pull out mattress had stains. Hole in wall in bathroom. Cable connection falling out in bedroom. Wash machine stained clothing and left lint all over clothes. Shower curtain corner molded. Didn't have enough towels had to call maintenance for working vacuum, lock on patio door to remove the area rug and smell. Took over a day and the smell was never adressed or was the lock.The elevators broke leaving 1 of 3 working for a building full of people. Staff using filthy mop bucket for the common areas by elevators on all the floors. Ashamed I spent so much money for my family to stay here. We couldn't stand the smell. Ice machine broke by pool. By kids pool could only smell someone vaping or smoking unmentionables. The only good thing was the beach and affordable prices at Bikini Bobs.
