Firstly the Z Hotel is not easy to find as there is no sign to the hotel on the street.
Secondly, what few reviews or details of the hotel explain, is that the hotel is a series of separate houses along the same street. You are therefore likely to be directed from the cupboard of a reception to another house down the road some 50 or 100 yards away. A wet and windy walk to breakfast, if you want it.
The WiFi in the Junior Suite we booked was inconsistent to say the least and with Marylebone being such a built up area and the hotel being a 200 year old building, network connection was frustratingly, also totally unreliable. In the 21st century this fact alone makes for a difficult stay.
The staff were all generally friendly and the room was comfortable and quiet.
The glass screen to the en-suite facilities was quirky and didn’t bother us. Thought it might to more modest types.
We had a room that had a separate bit of space up some steps through a doorway that was furnished with a single stool that was strange. Why not a sofa? Or a sofa and tv?
Finally, the fire escape plan on the door was incorrect. It advised occupants to run upstairs rather than down to the exit - sorry it’s my job.
I would not return as there were too many inconsistencies in the description of the hotel, the room and the internet comms are unacceptable
