Lovely hotel near the train station

I stayed at Hotel Andra for a couple nights while in Munich, and it’s a lovely little hotel. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

We loved our stay at Hotel Andra. Walkable to Marienplatz and Munchen Hbf. Only downside was the lack of air-conditioning, but even the hotels we stayed at with a/c never felt that cool either.

Hotel room didn’t have air conditioning and had a dirty carpet. Shower had mold and the toilet was leaking water constantly. We got only one key to the room and would have liked two keys. The area is not safe, many homeless people around. I don’t recommend to women travelling alone.

I have to say, that this was one of the most heartwarming stays we have ever had. The family room was just what we expected and hotel is very close to city center so we could just walk to Marienplatz with the kids. But above all, the kindness of the personnel made our vacation a big impression. Again thanks for everything and we will be coming back!

Ok for not spending too much time at hotel.

The hotel is clean and people attending are very kind, is like a pension ran by a family. But dont expect a regular hotel, you need to enter by a hall aside a traditional and very busy vegetables store. Has a bit „hidden“ entrance that can make you doubt. Is located in a very busy street in the day but very lonely at night. Is a good place to stay if you will be all day out, but dont expect any hotel service, beyond the reception. The Location is good overall as is close to the center, but the exact street where is located is not a beautiful part Munich.

Online photos and descriptions did not correspond with reality onsite. Area was noisy and congested, and the hotel had no parking facility. Bedding, towels and bathroom were clean, but the chair in the room was soiled and dirty. Carpet at the room door entrance was worn thru in spots and unsightly. The elevator door inside and out was unclean. Two different male receptionists encountered, and one female receptionist, were helpful and deserve commendation for their service.

No air conditioning in the rooms and they get very hot. It was over 80 degrees during the night while we were trying to sleep. The beds were not made up with sheets or covers and now I know why they were just folded and lying on top of the bed…because you don’t need them. The windows cracked a tiny bit at the top, but there was no airflow to drag the cool night air into the room. Moreover, when you cracked the windows it made it even more difficult to sleep because of the rowdiness outside. The front desk had no fans to assist in cooling the room, either. Around 4:00 am, I cracked the room door and slept with it open to create an airflow to try to cool the room down with minor success. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all for a decent night’s sleep. The washer and dryer that they advertise as being available does not exist.

They gave us all the keys to our room apparently without keeping one for themselves, they didn’t have a spare, the master key didn’t work, then blamed us for losing the key when they didn’t keep anyone, this hotel is trash and a waste of money, the room was dirty, and the owner was unfriendly (Property Of Stupid), we were locked out of our room for a night and they refuse a refund because they didn’t have a key to get us in our room. Basically a hostel posing as a hotel
