Good experience, not your usual hotel process

This is a bit of a different experience if you’re used to hotels, you normally sign in and get a key card. This hotel requires you to have an application on your phone using NFC will unlock all the doors in the hotel and your room door, which will be listed in the application - the application you need is called Latch. The hotel is practically brand new because this is a build of residential apartments that has been rented out as hotel rooms, which if you read some reviews seems to have an annoyed the residence of the apartment block. If you have a car, do not drive up to the parking bay because you won’t be able to get in and you’ll have to reverse out instead park on the street outside the hotel sign which is like a street sign go in check-in and you need to be given a pass to open the barriers - when you enter the garage, you need to stay left and you need to make sure your car park RFID device is right at the front of your dashboard. You will then be assigned a car parking space, I got assigned a narrow space with a humongous 4 x 4, so it took a couple of attempts to get in, then the car park is very confusing where you end up parking doesn’t directly connect to the hotel so you end up having to walk through the car park to get back to your car. The hallway is all look the same so it’s very easy to get lost, finally, there is no restaurant in this hotel so for breakfast I walked 10 minutes to get to a Starbucks

OMG this newly opened space was the best experience in my life. It was our first time staying other than hotels during our business trip so at first we were quite worried. New and modern but issues with building access

This apartment was modern, and everything was brand new. It had just opened, and we were the first guests to stay here. The view was fantastic, thanks to the wraparound deck. However, there were some inconveniences. Finding the front office was tricky since it’s located in a converted apartment. Additionally, Placemaker’s leasing office was also in an apartment rather than a standard office space. Another issue was building access. You must have a smartphone to download the Latch app, as it's the only way to enter. None of the doors were labeled to match the icons in the app, making navigation confusing. Even the elevators lacked proper markings. While we consider ourselves tech-savvy, we still found it frustrating—so this could be a major challenge for those less comfortable with technology. Parking was another downside. We had to pay for it, even though it’s typically included with a reservation. On top of that, we struggled to find the right option in the app to unlock the door to the garage. Eventually, we had to return to the leasing office, where the attendant had to manually open the back door for us. Overall, the apartment itself was great, but the access system and parking situation were frustrating. Something to keep in mind before booking!

The best non-hotel stay I imagined

Finding this hotel was such a wonderful surprise!! It is a condo apartment and I stayed in a BR which was new, spacious, clean and had all the amenities I could imagine. It is elegant and elevated place to stay and I highly recommend it. It would be great for an extended stay but even just a couple of days.
