Really good location, 3 minutes walk from NCP Shiprow. Quick easy check in. My room was larger than I expected and quite comfortable. Only thing I’d comment on was that the mugs had some coffee stains on them, but it’s such a small thing.

I never got past check in. I arrived and they told me there was no bar, no lounge, no restaurant as it was all shut due to refurbishments. The lady at check in then told me the air con was not working either. I had my room cancelled and moved to the Sandman.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was struck by its eerily quiet atmosphere, with no bar or restaurant available, reminiscent of a place where time has stood still. The hotel felt nearly deserted, evoking the ambiance of “The Shining” film. Although the experience was quite unusual, I would not choose to stay here again. I had reserved two rooms for myself and a colleague, yet it seemed as though we were the only guests present. Initially, our rooms were on the same floor, but due to an issue with my colleague’s toilet door being locked, he was relocated to another floor. It appeared that many rooms had not been cleaned, as only those that were ready were used. I would not be surprised if this hotel is sold or permanently closed in the near future! Really terrible hotel minus stars!!

I had an amazing stay so quiet, cozy and very comfortable. Cleanliness would have been excellent if not for the massive cobweb over the top of curtains I immediately seen in the shadows. No safety/handrails for bath which would have benefitted me positively but none the less thoroughly enjoyed my time in my room worth every penny Receptionist was lovely very pleasant man.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The entrance was dirty, mess everywhere. Reception was drab, bulbs out on lights, odd decoration looked liked Christmas deca not cleared. No breakfast as closed and no gym as now closed. When given my room card there was some food debris on it. Got to room, dirt everywhere even on the coffee tray with sugar in the box. Nothing to drink from on the coffee tray mug was missing. No towels in the room. No soap the bottle was empty in the sink area. Toilet looked liked it had never been cleaned stained at bottom. Hole in roof. Windows filthy on outside and in could not see out from. Room had general smell that was not pleasant. If this hotel is open in six months I would be surprised. Compass should not have this name against them.

The bar is closed and the restaurant is closed and I was told there is illegal immigrants staying there so they should not be renting out rooms to the public, that’s why the bar and restaurant is closed it’s a joke.

The room was very tired and in need of upgrading. Carpet in the room was filthy and the stairs were dirty and the carpet was lifting making it a trip hazard. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Certainly not at the standard that this hotel used to be.

It was a nice stay, however slight mix up at the desk, but quickly resolved. Room was nice and tidy, only one complain was there was a cigarette dout next to the kettle, however it was all clean, that was the only disappointment about the experience, so all in all a very nice stay.
