Clean Room, Lovely staff, brilliant breakfast, room was a bit smaller than expected and wallpaper in the hallways could be repaired, good shower and nice location, for the price is absolutely perfect
Adam, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Friday night was horrendous, the crowd noise outside the room made sleep impossible. However, the hotel revised our sleeping arrangements and we continued on to have a great stay.
Ronald, 3-night trip

A full Scottish breakfast was available, but I'm not keen on baked beans, mushrooms at that time of the day. Waitress got me a hard boiled egg, bacon & sausages. All cooked perfectly. Everything I wanted, nothing I didn't want.

A splendid stay at the City Hotel. A lovely old hotel with a lovely interior refurbished to suit the fabric of the hotel. Only downside is no lift to second floor, the stairs were awkward for older people. The staff were amazing and helped us with our suitcases. A beautiful dining area and outside space. Highly recommend this hotel.

8/10 Very good

Two night stay with friends. Great location, staff were nice. In particular Dave, the night shift guy, we was very nice. Really polite and capable. My room was on the second floor, so lots of stairs to carry stuff up and down.
Eileen, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel is perfectly located in city centre just a short walk from the entrance to beautiful Glen Park and Dunfermline Abbey closeby also large public car park immediately at back of hotel. Popular hotel so need to book ahead.

Great stay

Everything about our stay in The City Hotel was great from comfy bed to breakfasts x All staff very friendly and helpful x the only downside for me was the shower x the head was fixed so high up with little pressure with a wide angle spray that i found it hard to rinse my hair properly x
Annette, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

I would rate my room as 3 Star as it was a little cramped as an attic room for one. The bed was comfortable and shower clean and powerful. Served it's purpose well for 2 nights. Was great value for money and very pleasant downstairs in a formerly fine grand building with big stained glass windows still above the stairway. An excellent breakfast included in price. Friendly staff. I would stay there again.
Sharon, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A lovely, spotlessly clean hotel with very friendly and kind-hearted staff. I absolutely loved my stay here and will look forward to staying here again in times to come.
Gillian, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Easy to find and plenty of parking. Staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Rooms were great. Full Scottish breakfast was delicious. There was some renovation work going on, but only within social hours. Excuse for my teenager to get up 😉
James, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great supper and breakfast. Very close to Abbey and Palace. Nice new bathroom. View of heat shaft from windows, which opened with difficulty.
Lois, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent stay

Location is fantastic. Room was spacious and comfortable. The Hotel has a few parking spaces available but sited right on a public car park. Breakfast was excellent.
Lynne, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Average

Check in quick and easy. Room is totally fine, very clean. However, the bed was so soft it had absolutely no support and it felt like you were going to fall out of it all night. If you need a hairdryer etc you need to get from reception which is a bit inconvient. When my husband was having a shower the water cut out completely. Breakfast is included and was actually very nice. Overall, it is okay for a night.
1-night trip

Good overnight stay

Stayed one night as we were at a show at the Alhambra. Room was spotlessly clean and warm. Comfy bed but the pillows were hard ☹️ Breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful

4/10 Fair

Couldnt get an earlybreakfast do were given sandwiches crisos fruit and a drink but i feel the restaurant should have been able tp provide cereals, pastries, fruit snd tea or coffee so a packed lunch didnt appeal for breakfast also went to use the ladies whilst waiting for our taxi and it was in darkness and vouldnt find a light switch
