Found this hotel on a whim and it was absolutely perfect for us and our 2 small dogs! So many cute room options, free breakfast every morning, extremely clean and easy to check in and out, free parking and in walking distance to Bowen’s warf and so many other places. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Unique and Charming

Paws was an outstanding little inn. Dog friendly is an understatement, everything about the little b&b is centered around making your dog feel welcome - from in room bowls and beds to treats in the lobby. Even if you aren’t traveling with a dog, it’s an outstanding room in a location that’s walkable to all of Newport - all at a price that’s a fraction of the nearby hotels. Great find - we will be back!

Paws the best!

We had a wonderful time at Paws on Pelham! It was nice to get a text from the staff and let me know the room was ready. The room was clean and perfect for our one night stay. The breakfast has been the best I’ve ever had at a hotel with free breakfast. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

Overall, lovely place to stay

I loved the location and off street parking which wasn’t too far from the house. Rooms were clean, quiet and very comfortable. The instructions to get into the building and room were very clear. The housekeeping very friendly and attentive. My only complaint was the smell of the bleach in the room. Not sure if it was in the linens or bathroom. I’m very smell sensitive so this was a distraction.

A wonderful Inn! Starting from the first time we stepped in to Paws on Pelham, we felt like it was our home away from home. Lisa, the inn keeper was so friendly and always helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet which made it stress free when we had to leave the pups behind when we were out. Breakfast was really good and the ladies who prepared the food were always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was on the third floor so walking upstairs was required, but it wasn't an issue for us or our dogs. But if you are unable or unwilling to climb stairs, you will want to book one of the rooms on the first floor. We will definitely be back to Newport and will be staying at Paws 🐾!

Property is really dirty. I understand it’s a dog friendly inn, but it’s not enough to spray a very strong deodorant and call it done. Intermingled smell of urine and deodorant gave me a headache the entire time . I paid for the most expensive room no 5 just to be comfortable . When we arrived AC in the room was broken and they replaced it with a portable unit which wasn’t cooling anything . The inn manager tried to convince me that this is it. It took a call to management company to give us a room with a working AC . The room was tiny and with 2 dogs it was really tight. The pressure in the bathroom was ridiculous. One can hardly brush their teeth. Parking is not at the premises as advertised but about 600-700ft up the hill at a rented space . In the past, I stayed at the inn across the street which was just stunning for the same price. Unfortunately they don’t accept dogs. To charge exorbitant amount of money for the accommodation that is worse than a hourly motel is unconscionable. We were given a partial refund to accommodate for the difference in price. Breakfast was ok although it was the same egg sandwich for 3 night we stayed there. All in all never again.

Paws on Pelham is amazing!!! Service is fantastic, rooms meticulously maintained, and the breakfast is delicious (also love the coffee)! Parking is a huge plus, so is thr proximity to Thames Street, Cliff Walk, etc. Highly Recommend!!!

Paws on Pelham was an absolutely wonderful place. They were so dog friendly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything was decorated beautifully with such a fun dog theme. It’s just a few minute walk from lots of shopping and restaurants. An intrepid person could even walk to Easton beach if they really wanted to. They have a large, safe parking lot (even though we surprising didn’t have much trouble finding parking). Our room was spacious and clean. It was so sunny and bright and everything felt new. My only minor complaint is that the tv in the bedroom was not a smart TV while the tv in the sitting room was. As well, the walls/floors are fairly thing so you can hear other guests in their rooms or walking around. Most importantly though, my dogs loved. And if they love it, then I love it.
