I was offered a stay at the neighboring Hotel Monopol and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, ideally located just opposite the train station and within easy reach of the city center. The service was excellent, and the amenities were very satisfying. Although I stayed for only one night to attend a concert at the KKL—just a short walk away—I left feeling completely refreshed, as if I had stayed much longer.

Facility is clean and staff is attentive and professional, yet personable. As is with many small hotels in Europe, the rooms are small and showing their age but clean. The location is amazing, walking distance to most of the major attractions in Lucerne, and the train/boat stations are literally just around the corner (so getting anywhere outside the city is super easy)…I can see why Hotel Alpina is highly rated, and I would recommend it also.
