I stayed at the hotel with my two teenage daughters in a family room. It was really spacious, clean and quiet, even though we had the airport runway right outside our window. Perfect overnight stay before my early flight. I stayed just one night at Holiday Inn Southend before my 6:30 AM flight, and everything was exactly as I hoped. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable — even the bathroom and shower were spotless and well-designed. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which really helped me rest before travel. I’d happily stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone flying early from Southend Airport.

Hotel, modern and clean. Our room had a dirty towel which was unfortunate as the rest of the room was clean. Aircon was good and room was quiet. I think its digusting that you have to pay to park, especially when you already are paying to stay in the hotel and the car park for the retail park next door is free for 4 hours.

Stayed for just one night and everything was excellent from moment arrived to the moment we checked out.Had breakfast which was excellent and room was very nice with lovely beds If I did have a small complaint it would be maybe a small fridge would’ve gone down well

We stayed here before and have always been really happy. This time the food in the restaurant was doughy batter on fish for our fish and chips. We raised this with staff and was told they would speak to chef. We had to pay full price and no apology so didn't bother eating in restaurant again. Becca who works at reception on the main desk is polite and professional. A fantastic first impression and a major assest to the hotel. The restaurant experience was middle of the road. The chicken Kiev meal arrived and was not as advertised in the menu. I requested a glass of wine twice with my meal and it did not arrive. Overall front of house staff are fantastic. Restaurant staff need to focus more on customers and less on day to day tasks.
