10/10 Exceptional

Hotel and room were beautiful. Coming here after a long day of work, to a 4-poster bed with curtains + gas fireplace turned on + jetted massive tub, was such a treat. The staff even brought my Grub Hub food order to the room so it was there when I got in. I'm going back here every month for my work overnight. Also beautiful facilities for a wedding or special event. Cohasset is exactly what a beautiful Massachusetts seaside town should be. A LOVE!

We couldn’t stay. We travelled three quarters of the way and received a call saying we couldn’t stay because of a maintenance problem with our room. They offered another hotel which was way out of the way. They tried to help but it was awful. I’m

Charming but noisy

The Red Lion Inn is very charming, no question. The restaurant/pub is very good. My main issue is that the rooms are VERY noisy. All of the common areas are pre-war era wood planked flooring, including the staircases. They are beautiful, but they are crazy loud. This is an old place, so there is no sound deadening in the rooms. Bring your ear plugs. Second complaint is that the rooms are ridiculously dark. There was one floor lamp and one wall sconce for my entire room. Forget about doing any work. It is a cute place, and would stay here again, but just be aware.

A nicely remodeled inn with history

I stayed for one day at this hotel. It's an older building that's been completely refurbished. The room was excellent, with a comfortable bed and clean, well-equipped bathroom. My biggest complaint is that the parking lot isn't easy to get to. I decided to try to make one trip from my car to my room, which proved to be a wrong decision on my part. Because of my zeal to get to my room (I was anxious to watch the Red Sox game), I missed a step and fell on my way. I wasn't injured, but I filled out an incident report with the person at the desk, who could not have been more helpful. When I left, I drove my car out to the front (no on-street parking from 2AM-6AM) and loaded my car that way. Cohasset is a lovely New England town. The Inn has an interesting history and the refurbished room in which I stayed was just what I needed.

4/10 Fair

I stayed in this property for two nights. Things I liked about my stay: - First, I would like to say that the jacuzzi tub in my room was very clean and made my stay so much better. - I also really appreciated the waters in my room for my stay. - The staff had a boxed breakfast available for me each morning to take to work (business trip). Things that I didn't like about my stay: - Parking - there needs to be signage to show where guests should be parking and how to get into the building. - The pool - at check in the woman said the pool should be ready the next day and to ask tomorrow. The next day I asked the person in charge at the desk if the pool was ready and she LAUGHED at me and told me no. I understand the no, but laughing at me for asking was uncalled for and rude. - I had brought food back to the room and placed it on top of the mini fridge. Within 15 minutes my food was COVERED IN ANTS. Needless to say everything got thrown out. - When I got to the room the TV wasn't even hooked up and I had to get someone up to connect it. - As a person with a BiPAP machine it was darn near impossible to get to the plugs behind the headboard to plug in my machine. - There was no room cleaning done during my stay, nor was it stated anywhere that cleaning would not be done unless asked.

Staff was very courteous. We had an issue with the first room we were in, and they quickly provided an alternative one

Charming & Historic!

The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as it was boxed, to be picked up in the lobby. However the Inn and the surrounding areas are well maintained and preserve the character of this historic Inn. Great in-house restaurant and friendly staff.

Loved my stay at Red Lion Inn!

I really liked Red Lion, i liked the old inn style and the room was clean, bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the people were very friendly and accomodating. I liked the box breakfast (we had yogurt, OJ, and a muffin with coffee in the room) but if you are looking for a full breakfast you will have to go somewhere else to eat. I would totally recommend this Inn.

I can’t say enough nice things about the property and the staff. From the moment we arrived everything was top-notch. Michelle was extra helpful and very pleasant to deal with. The inn keeper Andrew was ultra professional, and was helper even prior to our stay with assisting with our reservation. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling in the Boston/ Cohasset area. 5 stars isn’t a high enough rating.

Oversll, very good. Beautiful property and grounds. Friendly staff. Shower water pressure excellent. Big rooms. Only drawbacks... Basic Cable - couldn't watch Red Sox or Celtics at a place just south of Boston. Mattress- back was sore when I woke up.
