This property is no longer in business. We were quite surprised that we were allowed to book here to begin with, even more surprised that we not notified that it is no longer open. Thankfully there was a note on the door directing us to another hotel. Expedia needs to remove this hotel from its list of options.

We had a booking & because of a water leak sent us to Red Ledge…. No breakfast & run down hotel. Wasn’t expecting any of this. Only thing good to come out of this Hotel was a nice pool & hot tub that was hit but jets didn’t work that well.

Motel was closed

The Grand Staircase Inn was closed. There was a sloppy hand-written note taped to the office door directing customers to a different motel four miles away. Clerk at other motel said there were maintenance issues at the Grand Staircase and that both motels were owned by same person. Wifi at substitute motel did not work.

Nice folks running the place. Only grocery in town is in the hotel. We liked the size of our room but they should get rid of the dirty lounge chair and replace it with a table and chairs. They seemed to be geared toward backpackers and made rags available for hikers to clean their equipment. We did not use that amenity, but it was thoughtful. There was a spooky hole above the shower. This needs to be repaired immediately.

We got to the property this afternoon and found the motel closed due to broken water pipes. Eve tentatively this happened a few weeks ago. We WERE NOT NOTIFIED BY EXPEDIA.There was a note on the door directing us back to the next town to another motel, which is very nice. Expedia this is your second screw up this week. Will not use you anymore.

I booked the Grand staircase Inn. When I arrived there was a note at the door that they are having maintenance problems and the Hotel is closed, my booking moved to Red Ledges. This property is in a bad shape ,dirty per se, also the room. I would definitely have expected an upfront information and a choice. The way GSI looks this maintenance is not finished in a long time so upfront information would definitely have been possible . I got the impression they deliberately didn't inform people to move them to the the Red Ledges which would not have happened if anyone had a choice .

Grand Staircase tijdelijk gesloten ivm waterschade

Grand SC had waterschade en kon geen gasten herbergen. Vooraf helaas geen melding gekregen. Op de deur hing een brief met uitleg en dat we verplaatst waren naar Red Ledges in Tropic. Verblijf was verder prima, conform rating.

Die Unterkunt hat geschlossen und wir wurden über eine Umbuchung nicht informiert - sowas geht nicht. An der Tür stand ein Schild, das wir wieder 5 Meilen in die Richtung, aus der wir gekommen waren zurückfahren sollten, da aus Maintance Gründen derzeit geschlossen ist und unser Zimmer in Tropic / Red Ledges wäre- hat zumindest gestimmt und es gab keine Komplikatioen vor Ort.
