Our driver to and from the Dangriga airport was the standout for us. His name is Rio and he did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and also sharing his rich culture of the Garifuna community. We shared laughs, were told incredible stories about animal encounters, and were treated like family since the moment we landed. The staff at the resort was really helpful, friendly, and gave their best effort to meet all of our requests and answer our questions. We truly appreciate the time we spent there and we hope that the next lucky travelers feel the same. Thank you Bocawina!

This is one of the most beautiful properties in Belize. You can see mountains all around and the grounds are green, lush and well kept. The rooms are nicely maintained and the staff adds a beautiful personal touch with all the fine details of flowers in the room. The resort is beautiful! Lovely grounds with rainforest surrounding and opportunities to view wildlife on the property. Amazing waterfall hikes. The staff were so caring and involved in our stay. They made certain that we understood the trails and where we were going. The Wild Fig restaurant was very good with several options each night. We stayed in a basic room. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. We had an amazing experience! If you are looking for an adventure in the rainforest, this is your place! Highly recommend!
