Close to Embassy District

Staff not particularly helpful. Asked for a kettle for the room and told they had none. Later on, asked the evening receptionist, and he produced one for us immediately. (Thank you) Why would any Hotel not put a kettle in a room so that guests can make a cup of coffee? The room was spacious but basic. Good fridge, hopeless 1950’s TV which worked intermittently because of loose wiring on the plug socket, decent bed. Bathroom and shower functional. Water leaking from a hose when we first entered the room and had to call maintenance. Good location for most Embassy’s. Would I stay there again? Only if nothing else was available in the same area.

Wrote a nice review. Hotels.com deleted my narrative while I looked aty pictures. Summary: Staff was friendly and attentive, the room really sucked. I think I could walk Down the street and get a better room for half the 1100฿ I paid after taxes. Black growing on the walls in the bathroom. Small room, small bathroom, balcony one person can stand or sit on ac compressor and look at bigger balconies accross the alley. I could nitpick every detail of the room. Not 1 thing good enough for a room above 500฿.

Hotel is 12 to 18 min from Sukhumvite Rd.

on my first stay I was a reasonable room given for the price I paid. A few weeks ,later on my second stay I was anoid and felt the room was not habitable. In one corner of the room the wall lining was hanging loose, flopping down, the TV was not working, the Aircon had only one speed, cold and there was not one power-point to recharge the phone ...Room 505. My complaint was simply laughed off with a shrug of the shoulder (did you book on Internet )?? Anyhow they could not fix the TV and I was shifted to room 504 a tad better but I decided never again to stay at Jims Lodge.

Good location/pri but bad internet & needs refurb

The big plus of this hotel is its proximity to US Embassy (and other embassies) and is within walking distance of some very good restaurants and walking distance of BTS Skytrain. However, the hotel desperately needs updating (carpets are bedraggled, furniture old, etc.), There is an odd configuration of floors with elevator stops - the elevator stops on a landing between floors, including from the lobby area, so getting heavy baggage to/from rooms becomes a hassle (although the hotel staff is helpful in this regard). The biggest drawback for me was the awful wifi internet connection in the rooms. The only reliable wifi connection is in the hotel lobby (if you would like to spend your time hanging out there). The hotel staff was quite clear that the only good place for wifi is in the lobby, they didn't pretend otherwise.
