Great NYC Hotel

The best place we have ever stayed in NYC. Close to everything but the hotel is wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to help you and everyone is so friendly. Great breakfast choices and changed choices daily. coffee, hot cocoa and tea available in lobby all of the time. Rooms were clean nice and good size. Will definitely return

Check in was poor. At 4 PM (an hour after check-in time) we were told it would be five minutes. Half an hour later we were told our room was ready. We were not told housekeeping was on alternate days and ran out of toilet paper. Had more towels delivered too. Housekeeping staff were friendly and responsive. Front desk not so much.

Breakfast was decent. Good variety of food and drinks. Breakfast staff were excellent, always busy and clearing plates as soon as you had finished eating. Within walking distance to Penn Station so a good place for a base. The hotel was really good, the downside was the area around the property was not the best, lots of people who were using drugs in the street near the hotel. However, I don’t think this is unique to this street or this hotel. I have visited New York a number of times and this is the worst it has been for drug users on the streets.

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff was amazing and very helpful and quickly responded to our requests. They obviously take pride in their property and providing good customer service. The rooms were clean and the hot breakfast was great and convenient. The only negative was the homeless section of sidewalk adjacent to the hotel entrance. We witnessed people sleeping on the street day and night. It wasn’t a very clean section of sidewalk. But the hotel did clean the sidewalk directly in front of the building every day. We were never approached but it felt a little unsafe to walk down 37th to the front door of the hotel.

The absolute best thing about this hotel was the staff! They were all super helpful and kind! The room I stayed in had a king bed and a sofa bed, and while the bed was comfortable the sofa bed was unbearable. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious as was the rest of the hotel! The hotel serves complimentary breakfast, coffee, and tea which is always a plus. They also give everyone free delivery on grubhub if you want to eat in! The only downside about the hotel is the location, there's barely any space to unload and load your luggage outside. However that's not on the hotel, that's just New York! Overall my stay here was a 9/10!

From the seamless check in, assisted by Reinetta and being welcomed by AT and Ndeye, this stay at the Homewood Suites in midtown Manhattan has been a true pleasure. We were assigned our rooms immediately and even upgraded! The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed and the bathroom is stocked with necessary toiletries. The mini kitchen and microwave is a definite plus. The hot complimentary breakfast is plentiful and replenished constantly. Another welcome bonus is hot coffee and tea available in the lobby all the time. Between 5pm and 7pm midweek, the staff set out an array of fresh veggies with dip, fruit and cookies as well as a hot soup! A truly bountiful happy hour! Gennaro, Kristina and Jefferson are attentive and very helpful staff members. This is our second time staying here in the past few years and the hotel and staff continue to impress! I highly recommend a stay here anytime.
