My husband and I stayed here the night before boarding our wedding cruise. Osvaldo greeted us warmly and, when we asked to stow our luggage because we were 5 hours early for check-in, he informed us that our room was ready and we could take our luggage right on up and -- get this -- come back down and enjoy the complimentary breakfast. We certainly didn't expect to enjoy breakfast two mornings when staying only one night! What a sweet gesture.
And the breakfast is *good* too. Beyond the usual continental breakfast setup, you can also order a sandwich or croissant or some tasty little quiche bites. All accompanied by endless Keurig.
We loved settling into the swanky digs. The decor is sassy and edgy, all while providing top-notch facilities and a super comfortable bed.
Also, because 31 others were joining us on the cruise, we'd had wedding cruise T-shirts printed and shipped to the hotel in advance of our arrival. The way Joey cared for that shipment, and presented it to us after we got settled in, was above and beyond. I know they were in a corrugated shipping box, but in my memory Joey presented them on a silver platter. That's the kind of impression he made when we had the pleasure of meeting him.
The rooms and facilities are fun and smart and kitschy and clean and well-cared-for. But honestly the bright star of Hotel Gaythering is the staff. We can't wait to return!
