My husband and I stayed here the night before boarding our wedding cruise. Osvaldo greeted us warmly and, when we asked to stow our luggage because we were 5 hours early for check-in, he informed us that our room was ready and we could take our luggage right on up and -- get this -- come back down and enjoy the complimentary breakfast. We certainly didn't expect to enjoy breakfast two mornings when staying only one night! What a sweet gesture. And the breakfast is *good* too. Beyond the usual continental breakfast setup, you can also order a sandwich or croissant or some tasty little quiche bites. All accompanied by endless Keurig. We loved settling into the swanky digs. The decor is sassy and edgy, all while providing top-notch facilities and a super comfortable bed. Also, because 31 others were joining us on the cruise, we'd had wedding cruise T-shirts printed and shipped to the hotel in advance of our arrival. The way Joey cared for that shipment, and presented it to us after we got settled in, was above and beyond. I know they were in a corrugated shipping box, but in my memory Joey presented them on a silver platter. That's the kind of impression he made when we had the pleasure of meeting him. The rooms and facilities are fun and smart and kitschy and clean and well-cared-for. But honestly the bright star of Hotel Gaythering is the staff. We can't wait to return!

My new Miami Hotel

This was my first time staying here and definitely wont be my last. The staff was so nice and willing to help make your stay comfortable. The front desk attendant, Chase was extremely helpful and courteous. He always had a smile on his face and made sure I was taken care of. The room decor was unique, interesting and tastefully done. I cant stress how clean the overall hotel was. 5 Stars all the way.

Concerning Housekeeping Oversight Despite Friendly

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Gaythering for one night on March 22, 2025. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, we were extremely disappointed by a serious housekeeping oversight. After a long early morning flight from Boston, we were exhausted and didn’t check under the covers until we were getting ready for bed around 10:30 PM—only to find dried bloodstains on both the bed sheets and duvet. We immediately notified the night manager, who was understanding but informed us that housekeeping was gone for the day, so he couldn’t replace the bedding. Instead, he personally brought us fresh sheets and gloves so we could change them ourselves. As an apology, we were each given two free drink coupons for the Gaythering Bar downstairs. While we appreciate the staff’s responsiveness and effort to make up for the situation, this is a serious health and safety concern that should never happen in a hotel. Proper quality control in housekeeping is essential, and we hope management takes steps to prevent this from happening to future guests.

Wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms are modern and decorated well and the staff is friendly. Actually cares that you’re there. Chase at the front desk is always there with pleasant smile every time you see him. All the staff remembers guests by their name from the front desk to the bartenders!

Sunday Funday Sauna Stay After a Cruise.

Amazing stay! First time and loved it. The sauna was fun and relaxing. Came in on a Sunday after a long cruise and partner and I wanted to stay one more evening in Miami. We got to Gaythering early so we were allowed to store our luggage very easily. Osvaldo was so helpful and friendly during our check in. The Sunday Funday vibes were top notch! The sauna took a bit of navigating since it is so dark. Loved it. Would definitely book with yall next we come to Miami. We would have stayed longer for 12 pm post checkout Sauna fun, but had to go to the airport. We will keep this in mind next time.

Atlantis 2025 Before Big Boat Stay

The Gaythering was dealing with an A/C issue during my stay prior to a large Atlantis sailing from Miami. They were very up front with all of the issues and made as much right as possible - with excellent warm service and very courteous staff. While the A/C units were a challenge for me due to sound, the rooms were as comfortable as possible. I chose a standard room and had stayed in the 'crates' before and it was a large upgrade. I also had more time to explore Miami. This location has an excellent location adjacent to Lincoln Avenue, as well as a Trader Joe's within walking distance that I used to stock a minifridge up with healthy snacks. It's a great place to use as a base of travel. The Gaythering itself also functions as a bar where the locals gather, and it's delightfully campy, if not a bit over the top - but if you're game (gayme?) for it and don't take it too seriously it's a wonderful place to chill before heading out to sea or your next destination. The sauna was very useful for its intended purpose (cough cough) and down to earth - very little attitude, which is a huge difference from other 'saunas' I've been to.
