Clean hotel with a friendly staff. The location is excellent for Blowing Rock with a quick jaunt up the hull to hit Main Street and the shops and restaurants lining the area. Nice touches with ceramic mugs and daily housekeeping services. The flowers and additional landscape on the property are really lovely. Our room had a big bathroom. The room with the bed was a bit tight but adequate. I would stay here again but opt for a larger room.

Great location but even with air purifier and AC on high, mildew smell in bathroom was inescapable. Also door had glass at the top that was curtained with sheer fabric which meant that the room was bathed in orange light all night, really unpleasant. Service was cursory-no ‘how was your stay’ just ‘drop off your parking pass’.

Hemlock Inn was charming! Situated steps away from the lovely shopping area of downtown Blowing Rock. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with private parking adjacent to the door of the room. The room was clean and tastefully decorated in "mountain hemlock" style. Bedding was clean an comfy with ample pillows and blankets. The fire pit gazebo was a lovely site where we met other guests for conversation after dinner. I wouldn't hesitate to stay on future visits and recommend it hightly.

I arrived late, but had no issues accessing our room. Settling up with the front office the next morning was quick and easy. The property is in impeccable condition. Both the rooms and the outdoor/common areas were exceptionally clean. We especially enjoyed the pavilion and fire pit, where we had the chance to meet other travelers and swap stories. You can’t beat the location of the Hemlock Inn. Blowing Rock is incredibly walkable and full of charm. My wife and I strolled from one end of town to the other—while I’m not much of a shopper, the stores were still a pleasure to explore. We already have more trips planned to the area and won’t hesitate to stay at this property again.

It’s very rustic so guests need to be a little cautious when walking. The room was on the small side and not much storage but suited our need for 2 nights. Walls also a little thin. The location is wonderful. The the hotel is very cute. The front desk staff is super friendly. However, when something dropped under the furniture and bed, I was disappointed about the lack of cleanliness. The mattress also seemed to need replacing.

Absolutely gorgeous. The pictures are nice but definitely don't do it justice as to how pretty it is in person. Right in the heart of beautiful downtown Blowing Rock surrounded by shopping and dining of every variety. Especially right in the middle of winter it was stunningly beautiful.
