My stay at The European Hostel was wonderful! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff—especially Nick—made me feel welcome and at ease. He is incredibly attentive, professional, and always ready to help with any questions or concerns. I truly appreciated the way he handled situations fairly when some guests didn’t follow house rules, always making sure the environment stayed clean, safe, and comfortable for everyone. The rest of the staff were also friendly and kept the common areas tidy, creating a warm and positive atmosphere. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, with fresh linens provided, and I had no trouble getting a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed for cooking your own meals, which is a great bonus for travelers who prefer homemade food. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants and cafés if you want to explore local flavors. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place with a great location, comfortable beds, and a staff that genuinely cares about your experience, The European Hostel is a fantastic choice!

Pictures were not same as what the single room provided. Overall, bad experience and despite I had made payment, checked out early.

8/10 Very good

Decent Hostel

The hostel is doing a good job of renovating. The staff also take safety and security very seriously. Unfortunately, there is a lot of homeless people in the area. The building is older, but they have updated the bathrooms and added USB charging ports into the electric sockets.

Worst hostel and accommodation in the whole wide world - staff is terrible and unprofessional, hotel stinks and smells with bed bugs everywhere and the list goes on….

2/10 Poor

Staff is super nice and helpful but I made wrong reservations as it’s for people younger than 30 years old and I do not read it … besides, I have to go to airport @ 6 am and circle out 8 am …. I learned to read instructions before I complete my booking … I cancelled and book new place and no refund from Expedia

Horrible

Horrible, every aspect, especially ownership and his attitude. Go to another option in the city.
Paul, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

There are a group of homeless people just outside the hotel door. The road also doesn't seem safe. You can't even check out after 10PM. Their washroom is too dirty. And the private room has no amenities other than a bed. And even the bed sheet seems too dirty.
Imteaz, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Rude front desk

The price was cheap but the front desk was rude. Nick tried everything to teach lessons to his customer. He mentioned Expedia did not pay him in time and I should have read his policies beforehand. That was the only line he can speak to a customer.

Discrimination

Discriminating against others. They do not allow you to stay if you are from California. Owner said only Europeans hence the name. Also was bullied to not stay there because I’m larger in size and would be on the top bunk. Was told they were doing me a favor. Took my deposit and left.
Socorro, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

I booked it thinking it was a hotel I couldn't get my money back so I left too many homeless on the streets no parking nasty outside but the guy who checked me in was real friendly and explained to me at the hostel I respect that from him other than that the outside with this nasty homeless everywhere I go on safe I wish I got my money back but like I told a man I'll just donate it to you thank you for the shower cuz it did take a shower
Anthony, 1-night trip

When I checked the staff was very rude and didn't give us the code to get in the building at night.

2/10 Poor

It was a bad experience I never got to check in because after I had booked the room they called me 15 minutes later and said I had to be there by 10:00 and there was no way of me making it there because I was still traveling so I was never able to use the room and I lost the money.
Morgan, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

do not stay here. get your money back.

I got there early and dropped off my bag. At first the stay was fine, I kept to myself in my room. Then I went to the door a few times to get some air and was already having hostile treatment from both staff and other tenants. I barely spoj=ke to anyone and they were rude. I wasn't given towels either. I had invited a friend and did not notice the no visitors sign but scolded by young man. He was extremely rude to just me. So my friend left and I prepared to leave for a walk on my own. I accidentally broke off a plate on the door and didnt see an attendant so left it on the window sill of office. Coming back I am met with threatening to call the cops for damaging property and saying i did it on purpose. Why would I do that? He was patronizing and I dont ever write complaints but he made a fool out of me for nothing. He rushed me off so fast I left my passport. I will never stay here again.

Anas, 7-night trip

6/10 Good

The European Hostile is okay. It's average. A Meh if maybe. It's quiet and I got some good sleep. However the bathrooms need a lot of work. If one shower doesn't have hot water then you have to go into another shower that has hot water, problems with the light staying on, and a overflowing waste basket. No this place isn't big and fancy but it's a hole in wall place where it's quiet as soon as you get inside and place to get some sleep. It's worth its salt.
