First time ever, we had to leave after a couple hours and find a different hotel. Bugs in the shower - gross. But worst part was a man randomly entering our room with a key that worked on our door. Not okay! Felt unsafe and left. The front desk staff tried to gaslight us saying nothing happened. I bought protection for the trip but neither hotels.com nor the property would issue a refund. I wouldn't recommend that anyone stay at this property.

The Inn has very nice and friendly staff. Check in was easy. We requested an early check in and it was possible with a fee. There was plenty of parking and restaurants, stores were close by. I did see other guests with pets. Ill assume they allow pets in some of the rooms. They have a no smoking rule but there is cigarette butts all over the place. The mattresses were horrible and squeak and we felt the springs. We got 2 rooms and all 4 beds were horrible. There was an old, not working refrigerator outside of our room, that you could tell it had been there for a while.

The room was very nice and clean, and the bed and bedding were very comfortable, which is the most important thing. Overall it was pretty quiet, the only minor issue was the cable appeared to be out for the TV, but I didn't try to watch it until the last night of my stay...I'm sure it was a temp issue which can happen from time to time. Rose Garden Inn was the best rate around for the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was greatly appreciated compared to the overcharging of other hotels in Santa Barbara at that time.
