This has to be the WORST property we've booked. Roaches, deteriorating furniture and pills found in the night stand drawer. This place should be shutdown and hopefully condemned. We were also locked out of our room; when we complained we were told that "cops are on the way". We were forced to abandon some of our possessions just to leave. We will NEVER stay at another Budget Inn and are advising ALL of our friends and followers to do the same.

The room smelled of smoke and mildew and wasn’t clean. There was no microwave like stated on the sign outside. No extra pillows or blankets. The water didn’t get hot. It was just warm. The desk clerk was very friendly and was able to provide an extra pillow.

Check in was great. Very old and not maintained. Ceilings spots plastered for water damage, pipes all mounted right in the unit on the ceiling and hang down to see, outlets not working, bathroom door handle taped to stay on which it didn’t, light switch in bathroom taped to wall on one side to hold it on. Etc… however, if you are looking for a cheap one nighter and don’t care, maybe this is for you.

The check-in was great. The woman at the front desk was wonderful!!! The location was good. The refrigerator worked, but the cabinet it was in was filthy. The towels were soft. BUT: The room was promised to be a "Non-Smoking" room, but there were four cigarette burn stains on the bathroom counter. The room smelled like it was well smoked in, but lots of air freshener tried to mask the smell. The sink was horribly cracked. The bed was badly sagging. The microwave was old and a little scary. Of course - you get what you paid for, and with the exception of the smoking issue - it served its purpose.

There were roaches on the wall behind the bed and in the bathroom. There was sticky gooey stuff on the table. The toilet paper holder had been ripped out of the wall. Completely disgusting. Office staff were pleasant but this place should be reported as unsafe for humans. The stairs to the second floor are very dangerous as well. Worst place I've ever stayed. Surprised that Punta Gorda hasn't revoked their licence.

I stayed budget hotels all the time this particular case it was horrendous. The rooms were filthy. The floors were wet when I went to get a shower. My feet were black from the dirt on the floor and to top it off. It actually had roaches in it and the towels, I wouldn’t use them to even clean my car. They were as brown as could be. And the girl at the front desk, very rude ignorant.

Room was dirty. Numerous worn out items and unprofessional fixes on tile, plumbing, painting and moulding. I killed 4 bugs crawling on the floor/walls during my stay. On the good side, bed was comfortable, sheets and beadspread were worn but clean. The lady at check in was very nice and helpful.
