Great central location but a bit drab

One of the best things about this stay was the experience of being in the cathedral close. We loved the atmosphere, the history and being right in the centre of the city. That parking was included was a big factor in choosing this location. The slight downside was that the rooms are very basic and functional. 'Drab' might have been another way to describe ours. The staff were friendly, though, and the breakfast was varied and tasty.

A fantastic location and very friendly staff. My room was very simple with no en suite as advertised. Given the price, I thought it was good value. There was an excellent choice for breakfast. Although I didn't have the cooked breakfast, other guests I ate with said it was good.

The location is fantastic, right in the cathedral close with onsite parking & very easy access (walkable) to city sights. Lovely, helpful person on reception. However the basic room really is extremely basic, very shabby and old fashioned. You hear people in neighbouring rooms coughing & talking. Another venue for same price might be preferable.

I have been staying at Sarum College yearly since 2012. Although the staff have changed over the years the welcome one received is wonderful. The breakfasts continue to be wonderful with something for everyone.
