Firstly, the good points about the hotel: Excellent location. Comfortable beds, toiletries provided, plenty of storage space, touch-controlled lights. Areas for improvement: The water from the shower was barely tepid. Shower head needs replacing. Shower & toilet area very cramped. Sink outside the bathroom is not particularly practical. No drinking cups - awkward if needing to take medication. No tea or coffee making facilities, something you would expected in an establishment within this price range. No secure place to leave luggage. Unusual to have no 24 hours manned reception.

Room needs a bit of work. I would call out the blinds on the door as there was a light directly in front of our room and it kept me up. It would also have been nice to have an iron/ironing board. Otherwise, I knew it was a Victorian so I had set my expectations accordingly. The standout here is the staff. What a great experience with the person who checked us in / out. Keep up the great work.
