Lovely pub / inn in a lovely Essex town

Stayed for two nights due to attending a local festival at Chelmsford. We could not check in early but this was not an issue as we could park our car and leave our bags. They were very accommodating of our then late arrival back at the hotel (after 11pm at night) and check in was quick and efficient. The inn is lovely and the rooms were clean. They had left the radio on for us when we entered our room which we liked. The breakfast the following day all though very busy was excellent. I would definitely recommend this inn

Comfortable short stay

We stayed at the the Richmond Hill as a base to go to Wimbledon, but it's worth staying just to explore the local area anyway. Bed was terrific, food was delicious, and we had a really nice time. Thanks to all.

A great find with lovely staff!

A really lovely place to stay, plenty of parking on site and all of the staff from arrival, dinner and breakfast were fabulous. The rooms are a good size, comfy bed and plenty of amenities. The food was lovely for both dinner and breakfast. The bathroom was a little tired and the shower temperature a bit temperamental but that is being picky! Highly recommended and I will definitely stay again.
