I LOVE this motel!!! The staff are always friendly, the rooms are absolutely HUGE and the beds are super comfortable. It's close to all kinds of entertainment downtown and close to the beach and shopping also. The rooms have full kitchens with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and some dishes and pans. You may want to get some plastic silverware or cups but, it depends if you are going to be using the kitchen during your stay. The only thing that I would improve might be the parking lot (needs more spaces) but, that's about it. We stayed 3 nights and it's very quiet and relaxing there.

While it may be a somewhat “vintage” style property. The building and grounds are clean and well maintained. The size of the room and kitchen facilities were a pleasant surprise. Although we were only staying one night, the kitchen makes it ideal for a multi day stay. Good quality WiFi and sufficient, conveniently located outlets for charging devices. We found several nice dining options within easy walking distance

Vikings Motel is great!

Checked in and got to the room and couldn’t believe how amazing it was for the price. Everything was clean and tidy and the bed was actually pretty comfortable. The smoke detector had that beep every so often and I alerted the front office and they replaced it with a brand new one. Overall a very good experience.

The beds were good and comfortable but you were able to hear everything happening outside of the room. It was hard to sleep throught the night with all the noise going on because of how thin the walls are from the surrounding rooms. The people who were also supposed to clean our room didn't.

It's not just a room with a stove and fridge... It's a very comfortable, very open room with a way to feel like I have an actual home/studio to come back to. Somewhere I can make a good meal in a very spacious kitchen... I love the remodel even though it's been remodeled some time, id only gotten to see the Jacuzzi suite hang way complete many years ago. Absolutely worth every dollar!

Cockroaches all over even on the bed!

Stayed 3 nights and found and had to kill 4 cockroaches the most recent was my last morning early morning and it was crawling on the bed!!!! Couldn’t go back to sleep, cleanliness is horrible like piles or dirt and crap in the corners and just the laziness of not cleaning properly and the cockroaches made me sick

Carpet worn, torn. Lots of drawers, over half unusable with missing knobs or bottom broken out. Sliding closet door almost unmovable. Stayed three nights, maid came only once.

I have stayed at just about all the motels and hotels in Ventura County. Somehow I missed this one. I made a last minute reservation checking in around midnight. The young man at the office window was very nice and check in was quick. I had room 27 upstairs and on the corner. The landscaping looked very good. The good sized water fountain looked and sounded great and could hear from my room. The room .. WOW!!! HUGE ROOM!! the place was immaculate. The floors were tiled. The kitchen was big with a very large fridgedaire double door stainless steel ..and super clean . The kitchen had a full sized four burner stove and oven and larger microwave above and a toaster oven. Lots of cabinet spaces pots and pans... Utensils.. nice two seater breakfast table. With tasteful decor throughout. The bed ..the bedroom set ..yes all matching nightstands ..dresser drawer vanity mirror.. ceiling fan with lantern light ..sheer curtains and blackout ones . The bathroom has nicely done tile throughout. And shower is big enough for two! There's also a marble counter with sink and mirror..and ironing board..full sized iron..blow dryer..and there's five different chairs to relax in. Air conditioner /heater .. oh and there's recessed can lights in ceiling throughout ..some on dimmer switches. Good quality towels 👍.. my only gripe ...yeah .. is that the flat screen tv is mounted flat so no pull out or turning ..it's mounted offset from the bed ..and any lights cause a glare and just basic cable.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We called ahead to say we would be arriving late. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and kind. Our room was very clean and spacious. We didn’t use the kitchen but it was quite cute and well supplied. The room was quiet and we didn’t hear any noise. Our room looked out over a garden store and it was very pretty. My only suggestion for improvement would be a new mattress. We had 2 queen beds. One was good and the other was very saggy and worn out on one half. Otherwise, it was a very good stay and we were happy.

It does have a full kitchen. When I walked in there were dishes in the dish drainer and they really did not look very clean. But I wasn't going to use them so it wasn't a big deal for me. I did like having the refrigerator/freezer so I could refreeze my cold packs for my cooler.

We stayed one night, got the 2 Queen room which has a full kitchen and is a large room. The beds were comfy and the bathroom looked like one from your house. Furniture is a little dated and that's the reason for the one lower mark but overall this place is great for the money and the staff very friendly. The parking can be a little difficult at times also. The room was bigger than my apartment!

Seemed newly updated. Full kitchen was nice, comfortable bed, eclectic furnishings. We were concerned about possible noise from busy street next to hotel but with windows closed and fan on, it was quiet.
