The Good:
The reception staff and all those who worked on the main floor.Excellent. Especially Tu, Hein, and the 2 gentlemen who worked at reception. Thank you for all your hard work and help.
The Restaurant: Had dinner there once. It was very good. Only reason we ate there once was we wanted to try different restaurants in the city.
The reception and restaurant areas: very clean and well maintained.
The building: has character. The room we stayed in had a large balcony, and the room was spacious.
The Not So Good:
The stair case to our room on the top floor, and the hallways leading to the rooms need a deep clean. The stairs themselves were not dirty, but dust has built up along the posts and obviously hasnโt been cleaned in a while. On one of the floors, dirty sheets were kept in one of the hallways. Iโm sure there is a better place to put them so guestโs donโt need to see them.
The lights in the hallway outside our room did not work. So, arriving to our room in the evening was always a dark affair. Simple fix?
Our room: the bathroom room requires a big fix. This is not going to happen as it would cost money. The main issue was the shower. The water runs away from the main drain, and drains into a secondary drain outside by the toilet. Now this really isnโt the problem. The problem lies in that the drain isnโt very effective, causing water to pool around the toilet. As an aside, the bathroom drains sometimes emits sewage smells. Not often, but once is too much.
