This is a historical mountain hotel. Movie stars from old western movies used to stay here. It is right on the Kern River in the heart of beautiful Kernville, California. The staff is amazing and the coffee is fresh and hot in the common room every morning! Parks, restaurants,fishing,and shopping are all within walking distance.

One of my favorite places to stay in Kernville close to downtown restaurants and bars, and is easy enough to get to the market or the upper Kern. It’s a cute little motel slightly rundown, but that adds to the character Pet friendly and good enough to spend all day at the river and come back and shower and sleep. Will stay again !!!!!

It's tough to beat the location of this motel. It is right on the banks of the Kern River. The property is definitely showing it's age, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Room was clean and comfortable. Very relaxing sitting on the patio and watching the river. Parking was easy for a couple motorcycles. Large vehicles might struggle, but maybe they have alternate space I didn't see. Literally no contact with other than check-in. I am sure they were around if needed.

Did not bring a pet and there was a lot of dog barking into the night. Location is nice and the rooms are quaint. Management did respond to my texts, so that was helpful. More a place for gatherings.
