Great location, not so great room

The only thing great about this motel is the location. It is within walking distance of the square in Ellijay. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in a motel/hotel, and I have spent my career traveling. I will say the bed was very comfortable.

IT WAS A BLOCK FROM THE SQUARE. GREAT LOCATION. OLDER MOTEL BUT WAS VERY CLEAN. WILL STAY HERE AGAIN NEXT TIME. CAN NOT BEAT THE LOCATION.

Overpriced but easy to find - friendly staff lady

The lady that checked us in was very nice even took us up to show us the room first. We found a old toothpick on top of the bed and the beds were very high and hard to get up into but very comfortable and the rooms didn’t have pictures on the walls and looked kind of dreary but a lot of room inside them in very accommodating

Great location and comfy bed

We went to Ellijay for a weekend of visiting wineries and taking in a show at the local theater. The hotel was exactly what we wanted: tons of free parking, a clean room, a comfortable bed, and a good location. It was literally one block from all of the bars/restaurants in town. The staff was very nice also. The king room had enough extra space for a chair and a table. The bathroom is small, but the shower felt large, and my girlfriend was happy with the water pressure. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re not looking for anythjng fancy, but want an inexpensive clean/quiet room with a great location.

Not a great place to stay

Stayed two nights for my daughter’s softball tournament the room was very small for three people. The beds were not that comfortable and set on some kind of metal frame so sounded like you were sleeping on a filing cabinet. The ceiling apparently had had a leak at some point and they had repaired it but with a white paint so it looked like a big dot on the ceiling this place needs a serious update!! Cleaning wise was ok we did have a spider that stayed we us in the bathroom at least he didn’t have any friends that I saw

We loved our stay at the Ellijay Inn! We got room 27 (single king bed) and had a wonderful visit. The room was cozy and the bed was so comfortable. Linens were crisp and clean. The bathroom, as others have noted, is snug, but clean with good water pressure in the shower. The room included a mini fridge with separate freezer, coffeemaker, and microwave. Ice machine is just outside in the parking lot. The owners were helpful in giving us maps to the town and recommending local restaurants. The grounds are clean, tidy, and streamlined. After carefully reviewing local reviews, it’s important to note that this is is a motel, not a major franchised hotel like hilton. This is a locally owned, personally managed motel, and it is clear that the owners take great pride in a clean and comfortable stay. We slept soundly and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. They were available for any issues we had, and luckily we did not have any to speak of. We camp and stay in/near Ellijay often and Ellijay Inn will most definitely be a place we return to in the future. Can’t wait to come back!

Check in was in the evening, staff was unfriendly and only spoke to each other in another language giving an uncomfortable feeling. Only comments to me were to ask if I smoked and if we had pets. There were overwhelming cooking odors in office but not in good way. Room was very small and gross. Carpet was dirty looked 20 yrs old. Walls were 3 different colors.Light by bed was yellow and too dim to be able to read. The only other lighting was overhead fan but that would have disturbed my mate and it looked even older than carpets. Cost was 3 times higher for Saturday than weekend and wat overpriced. I am just thankful it was fall and cool enough not to run A/C because who knows if filters get changed and what would come out with the air. All I can say is never again.
