Reserved on hotels.com. Arrived a few minutes later, and a gentleman apologetically explained that there were no rooms available, even though my reservation was pre-paid. Further, the efforts to obtain a refund from hotels.com has been the slowest and most painstaking effort I have seen hotels.com have to do for me. I have had similar problems in the past, having to get a refund, but it always worked out within a few minutes. Several days later, hotels.com customer service has to keep contacting me to ask more questions about the sequence of events at the hotel.
