Updated room

Although this is an older motel, it is under new management, and they are working on updating, room by room. We stayed here one night, and found it to be clean and very comfortable, with lots of room to move about. I would stay here again.

The electrical outlets are old and need to be replaced. Found it difficult to plug in. No eating places within walking distance. Tv remotes dont work very well. On the positive, the beds are confortable and the bath towels are colorful.

The owners of this motel are so so nice! They gave us recommendations for around the town and really made us feel welcomed there. We loved that hospitality. The hotel room needs some updating but overall we felt that it was a good value for money. Location was near everything as well.

I just stopped in here to sleep overnight, so my experience was not extensive. The room was clean and adequately furnished. No odors or stains. Basic cable TV. Television set was a bit dated but worked fine. Heater functioned well. I liked that the parking spaces in front of the rooms are all covered. I wish there were some usb charging docks for electronics in the room, particularly on the bedside table. The owner was very courteous.

Just Perfect!

The Shady Oaks Motel is a small, 13-unit motel that is managed by the friendly and extremely helpful owners. The Patels take great care to ensure that their guests are comfortable and happy with their accommodations. We were able to check in at 1:00pm and had ample time to freshen up for our niece's 6:30pm wedding, 20 miles away in Glide. The room was much more spacious than any "standard two queen bed" rooms we've ever booked, and we've both traveled extensively for both work and leisure. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows were fluffy and soft, and the room was very clean. The wi-fi signal strengthen was outstanding. The in-room fridge and microwave were clean and worked as expected. This little gem is a too-well-kept secret along the I5 Corridor in Oregon! We have several family members in and around Roseburg, so we will most definitely book the Shady Oaks Motel for our next visit! With a pet-friendly option, we will even be able to bring our little dog if no sitter is available! It's reassuring to know that a comfy, VERY AFFORDABLE, home-away-from-home is waiting for us in Roseburg.

Sorry there was nothing i liked. No coffee pot, no tv, and she kept $10 for a key deposit? Oh and no wifi either!! The coffee pot and tv and wifi were all advertised in the ad for this place, and a key deposit was not. The whole place was way outdated. I could go on, but whats the point? Id rather forget i ever even stayed here. I could've slept in my car and kept my $90!!

Shady Oaks Nostalgic Motel

We chose Shady Oaks because we wanted something nostalgic and fun...We were greeted by the Mangement Couple...Awesome hospitality and welcoming. We were very pleased with the accomodations...only n negative was the room heater was not functioning..Manager supplied a portable heater..room cool ..prefer a cool room to sleep thus...this was not too problematic..We will stay here again when in the area.

nice friendly staff, quiet motel, big room. This is a pet friendly hotel. It worked out perfectly for me. The staff was great, good advice about the area, and friendly. This motel is a basic no-frills motel, but everything was clean, room was big, wifi and cable, pet-friendly, motel was quiet, convenient to where I needed to go. It was what I wanted, and as I needed a place where I could stay with my dog, it was exactly what I needed.

Two queens and a fold out couch in the large room. Hot water pot with instant coffee and a microwave and fridge/freezer. Old fashioned but excellent condition, with 10 per fee it was 89 on a Friday night.

Comfortable for a night's sleep

This motel is located on a highway, near a hill. This is quite away from the main road, center. If you are looking for a place to just sleep during your road trip , before u start off next day, then this place can be ideal. No shops in the walking vicinity . No places in walking vicinity.We were able to rest here for one night ( Family of 6).

simple old school feel

If your looking for a 5 star hotel, this wont be it, but this hotel does have basic stuff u need & better pillows than most hotels for sure! the guest service rep was very nice & even got us whatever supplies we asked him including a water bottle. If your looking for a place close to the Oregon wild safari this motels definitely the place!
