We came in late, they had an envelope with a key ready, easy check in, I would say. Lovely room, clean, beautiful view. We just caught a gorgeous sunset over Crystal Lake. Morning was also very peaceful. Gorgeous property. I can see it being a favorite spot for many to enjoy.

Nice place to relax, read and get some sun while you’re lounging on the private beach-all by the Crystal Lake! Bring your own food, paper cups, plates and drink. There’s no need to get into your car although restaurants are nearby.

We will visit this place again! Wonderful cottages, nice staff and location close to downtown. We rode our bikes down to dinner ant the local brewery! Only 25 minute drive to sleeping bear along beautiful M-22.

The owner was so kind and gracious to us. Let us check in early and we had to also check out early due to unforeseen circumstances and she was so nice about everything. She told me over the phone how nice and happy my fiance and I were checking in that we even got a free upgrade. She didn’t know that we were there to take our engagement photos in the sleeping bear dunes so it just made our weekend. Would totally stay again! (:

Quaint but cramped

This place was clean and well maintained. The room was functional and everything except the exhaust fan in the bathroom was was in good working order. On the other hand, it was definitely the one of the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in, especially for the money. The parking lot is barely adequate for manuvering and we got stuck on the ground floor with the door facing the highway only a few yards away. Fortunately there was very little traffic at night so it wasn't too noisy, but it would have been much better to have one of the rooms with the lake view instead. Overall the whole area was very calm but there is nowhere to get breakfast in the immediate vicinity besides McDonald's a few miles away. During the day there a handful of restaurants to choose from but every place except a couple of bars closed quite early. If you are looking for access to Crystal Lake specifically, this place is alright. If you are going to the sand dunes national lakeshore you would honestly be better off to book a place in Traverse City.

Perfect and beautiful.

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff. Room was small but clean and fresh with an amazing view of the lake. We sat in the private beach and watched the most beautiful sunset. Perfect stay and would highly recommend

The area is beautiful so is the private beach the room was okay Very small no closet or place to put the luggage bathroom was tiny it was clean but very cramped for 2 adults and one child Also the air conditioner was extremely loud hard to sleep Not sure if all the rooms were so small or why ours was this small Good location right on highway so traffic noise is loud

Our cabin was cozy and the property had a lovely private beach with beautiful sunset views. The resort is located near to biking, hiking, golf courses and towns for shopping and restaurants. It was a great find.
