We needed a quick and simple place to sleep and they delivered. Room was quiet and clean, no carpeting, which all four of us loved. Really pleasant staff and good rates for the area. A heads up that it is an older hotel, so not posh, but a solidly good place to stay.

I do find it a bit expensive for what it is. The rooms seem a bit old and honestly everything was clean except some part of the shower curtain. The previous tenant had left beers and pizza in the fridge it seems they missed it. It's okay for a quick stop but I wouldn't extend my stay. Oh! And the windows do an amazing job at masking the noise of the highway nearby

Our group of 7 people (3 adults and 4 kids) made a last-minute booking at Hotel Portneuvois when it had the last 2 rooms available in the Quebec City region on a fall holiday weekend. We had no idea what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Checkin was courteous and quick. Rooms were impeccably clean. Beds were warm and cozy. It is a 45-minute drive from old town Quebec, but much of the route is scenic and there are several pleasant and picturesque towns on the way for a meal etc. A great value if you are looking to stay in the region but find prices or availability in QC itself to be prohibitive.

The room was not clean. There was dirt on the light switches and other high touch areas, and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. There was dirt under the bed.The shower head needed replacing and the bedspreads and blankets had seen better days. Outside the side door, there were hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground.

They asked me to pay for both night upfront for the 2 nights, felt weird in the lobby, bad smeel and mold on the ceiling. They did not want me to check the room before paying. They don't speak French or English. After paying and seeing how bad was the room condition (door don't unlock, toilet bowl broken, dirty with previous visitors hair in the bed,etc...), they never wanted to refund me. They said I had to cancel 3 days before the stay as their policy, I reserved around 1/2 or 1 hour before going there, so it was never possible to cancel 3 days before ? I tried to get refunded with hotel.com and was only able to get one night cancelled and give me a policy good will 15% on the first night. Felt swindled, I was try to ask my credit card company to have this charge cancelled since it was a trap. I wouldn't recommend to go even near that place !
