Room was comfortable and a decent size. Nice view of river. Short walk to station. The only thing wrong with the stay was the breakfast. It would be ok but all the hot foods where either cold or lukewarm. A fridge would also be an advantage to keep drinks cool. Overall we would stay again.

The location is strategic. We booked a room for 4 adults, but toiletries sets only has 2 sets. There is no charging plugs by the beds. Only at the study/make up/coffee table. So this is a problem for all 4 adults trying to charge our gadgets. a bit inconvenient. We booked with breakfast included. It is a very simple breakfast which is alright, unfortunately, the coffee served is already mixed with sugar. We end up leaving without coffee. Unhappy. Lastly, the parking space is very limited and tight.

A high quality hotel but unfortuantely when we requested for extra 2 pillows, we were given 2 pillows which has wrinkle pillow cases and smells awful. When we brought the pillows down to the receptionist, we were told to bring it back to our room and a dosmetic will bring us another pair of pillows. I think its unacceptable and felt that the receptionist should at least take the dirty pillows from me instead of asking me to bring the smelly pillows back to my room. Also not a word of apolgies from the receptionist.

The room is newly refurbished and very tastefully decorated. There is enough room for 4 people and everything is very clean. Also, the parking lot staff is very friendly as is everybody else. There is a 7/11 store right in the hotel building which is very convenient. Altogether, a perfect place for your stay in Ipoh as everything is easily accessible in walking distance!

Service could improve.

Location wise this hotel is well placed. But the check in and check out procedures are slow. They have a paper system going for the security deposit (50RM) that seems quite unnecessary and makes everything quite cumbersome. But the breakfast was where we reduce our rating. The breakfast selection was very limited and things ran out quickly and took a long time to replace. There's lots of tables but they seemed to lack staff to clean up (it appeared a single person was doing everything in the room) so there was no place to sit even though the place wasn't full. We ate our meal on a counter at the end of the room. Overall the price wasn't much, but if we came back we would look for a different hotel because of the meal experience.

Positively, the hotel is in a good, central location, about 15 mins walk from the railway station. The restaurant on the 12th floor has an absolutely stunning view, especially at sunset. I also appreciated the TV having a wide range of films available. Staff availability wasn't great. When I arrived, there were three people at the desk on the ground floor, whose only job it seemed was to direct people to the reception on the 12th floor. At reception, there was one person and a queue of about five groups waiting to check in. Also, I had to knock on the kitchen door to locate any waiting staff in the restaurant after waiting for over 10 minutes. My other frustration was that there was no bedlight, nor any electric socket near the bed.
