The hotel was great. Conveniently located within the ruins. Clean, great food and great staff. I left my tablet on the plane that was 2hrs away and the hotel staff arranged a pick up for me that saved my trip. I loved everything about this place!

So fun to stay so close to Tikal- you need to buy your entrance tickets before you arrive. Its a very simple walk to the park entrance. The bunglaow was adorable. It was very hot, a bit hard to sleep but worth it for the experience

It’s an older facility but it feels really good. Feel like you’re in a remote location, which you are. Staff was kind, food was good, Tikal is so amazing.

Perfect. Amazing experience. Tikal is a MUST

As advertised. What a crazy feeling to be swimming in a pool in the middle of the jungle with wild animals all around you. Decent restaurant. Obviously its pricier than elsewhere, as it is in the craziest location. Limited electricity hours, 24/7 wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff

Great Location

Beautiful location near entrance to Tikal national park in the jungle. Swimming pool is not heated. Service excellent, particularly a big shout to Richard, he was very helpful and informative.

You’re super close to the Tikal archeological park which is great. You’re practically sleeping inside of it. The only downside is that the electricity cuts out every night so It can get a bit hot without the fan working, but other than that it’s clean and the staff are very nice and super helpful. I would go again.

Beautiful place , do not set your expectations too high, no TV, limited electricity, they run the place on a generator and turn off power twice a day. Staff super nice clean make sure you ask for a room w a/c thank me later, it’s only 20 bucks more dollars. Lobby and pool area only place you get WiFi. Bring a portable speaker for pool area. Easy walking to the Ruins which is why you come here. Would I stay here again? YES

Family Guatemala tree

We absolutely loved it but I willl say this is not for everyone. They have a few rules in place to respect the wildlife and they is a lot of wildlife we had monkeys , turkeys and lemers that walk comfortable and free. Plenty of birds and you will hear them from time to time. The staff was amazing and parking was easy. We felt safe and they do have rooms with multiple beds. We only stayed 1 day but plan on returning for a 2-3 day trip. They have a restaurant with plenty of choices and the pool was clean and great. Swim while you see monkeys in the trees. It is with in walking distance or the pyramids entrance and yes inside the park. I would pack snack before due to the fact that they do close all at 9pm this includes electronic off and lights. No TVs and service is not the best or at all in the park but they do have wifi at the hotel

2/10 Poor

With all due respect, this hotel needs serious update. They don't have electricity, only in certain hours. They don't have an outlet in the bathroom, only one outlet in the bedroom.

Loved being so close to Tikal. Rooms were clean, staff super nice, good food at kitchen, pool was great at the end of the hot day (warm water from the sun so not refreshingly cool but good). Electricity limited - bring uSB plugs (no USB-C ports) - but they will charge devices in the office if you ask. Very few food options nearby but hotel restaurant was very good. Fav: burrito. No AC, ceiling fan only. I opened all windows and propped bathroom door open to get a small cross breeze but nights are still warm. Overall I would choose to stay her every time over the commute to Flores. Just past Jaguar Inn.

Conveniently located close to the entrance to Tikal National Park, the Tikal Inn has comfortable rooms (though no A/C), an amazing front desk staff willing to answer any and all questions about the park and the area, a beautiful pool just steps from your room, and a basic kitchen with an ample selection of local foods that won’t break the budget. Electricity is rationed to three times a day for 2 or 3 hours, making it an eco-friendly experience. Wildlife can be spotting easily on the property and, of course, inside the park, which is why you are here anyway, right? Rooms are reasonably priced. For those roughing it there’s a campground nearby. The Tikal Inn is ideal for sunrise or sunset trips to the Ruins as well as a “home-base” for visits to Uaxactun, Yaxhá, or even El Mirador. Flores is an easy trip as well.

I will not stay there again. The front desk staff were amazing. The restaurant, would not take my order, or serve me food. The restaurant was open, but the staff are incompetent.

4/10 Fair

My two-night stay at Hotel Tikal Inn was mixed. While conveniently located just a ten-minute walk from Tikal's magnificent ruins, several issues detracted from the experience. Pre-arrival communication was problematic, with emails and messages often unanswered for 3 days. I received incorrect information about Tikal ticket purchasing options and was quoted an inflated $100 for airport transfer while a nearby hotel offers more affordable shuttle options. The property shows signs of neglect with cobwebs on windows, ceilings, and walls. My shower had mineral buildup causing an uncomfortable water stream. While rooms are generally clean, maintenance needs improvement. I stayed in room B11, which was clean but lacked the mosquito netting visible in other rooms. When requested, staff claimed my bed was "too large" for netting, resulting in uncomfortable nights disturbed by mosquitoes. The staff were pleasant and engaging in person. All meals I enjoyed at the property were consistently good. The hotel does offer an outdoor pool which is a nice amenity. Internet connectivity was limited to common areas only, despite advertisements of "free Wi-Fi" creating inconvenience for planning activities. While Hotel Tikal Inn has potential given its prime location, management should address these issues to improve the guest experience and better reflect its position as a gateway to one one of Guatemala's most treasured archaeological sites.

Mixed bag

Room was basic but nice and clean Especially the location by the pool. Pool was nice despite a few dead bugs which is expected in a rainforest. Bed comfy with good quality cotton linen. Service was mixed. On arrival the reception was helpful. They even sorted a guide for our sunrise tour. However, I tried on 4 occasions to contact the hotel via direct email and via hotels.com messages multiple days before arrival with no reply. I ended up getting an airport transfer from the Jungle lodge hotel next door. This was quite stressful as Flores airport is very small with limited options to get to tikal. (There weren't even any taxis when we arrived, without the jungle lodge we would have been stuck). The reception and dining area was also very dated and food very basic and bland. We went to the Jungle lodge for food and found the restaurant much nicer.ans service better, even if the price was higher.
