Baileys Harbor getaway.

Square Rigger in Baileys Harbor was amazing. You can't beat the view of Lake Michigan, the sunrise was spectacular. The owners live on sight and have thought of every little detail to make sure your stay is comfortable. The motel was very clean and the entire stay exceeded our expectations. The hotel was quiet and quant had a great lakefront view. Picnic tables and chairs so you can enjoy the lake view along with a fire pit.The owners were very nice and helpful and even gave us a rundown of things to do in the area. Close to their downtown area; walkable which was great We will definitely be returning here

Best Bang for your Buck

What I liked most about Square Rigger is that its not trying to be something its not---it's an incredibly affordable gem considering the extraordinary attention to cleanliness (like the bathroom grouting is still sparkling white), location (safe sidewalk access + short 5-min walk to downtown Bailey's Harbor), and views (won't bother attaching a cell phone photo, but you have private beach access and incredible lake views to wake up to). This is a simple, wonderful spot. More than what we needed considering we wanted to be exploring all day and dining out every night. There isn't much space for meal prep, but shoot, you will save more than enough money staying here to afford a bougie dinner out! Only side note: think quiet older crowd---neither kiddos, pets (if allowed) nor last-call-chasing folks will make great guests.

Probably one of the cleanest motels ever. So many nice added touches and an unbelievable view with Lake Michigan in the backyard. The owners were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Easy walk to Door County Brewery, bars, restaurants, shops, parks, etc. Loved our anniversary stay!

We will be back to the square rigger Motel. Great location, nice people, quiet, can't beat being on the water and view from the room. Fair price & very clean. Within walking distance to bars and restaurants. All Door County destinations are within a 30 minute drive.
