The welcome was very friendly and efficient : the bar was well supplied and comfortable: dining very good (and and varied). Bedroom lovely - in boutique style (I liked the heated towel rail). At my advanced-late 80s- age, the stairs were tricky. Usefully on the frequent 211 bus route.Altogether a pleasant and good value experience. John (from Kessingland)

Sehr schöne Gästezimmer oberhalb eines Pubs. Schönes großes bequemes Bett. Leider ließ sich das Fenster nicht vollständig schließen, im Dezember war das leider recht kalt und sehr ‚gut‘ belüftet. Zudem kamen die Außengeräusche ungefiltert durch (Straße, Flugzeuge). Und leider auch gab es ein Geruchsproblem vom Badezimmer aus, das schwer auszuhalten war. Bei geöffneter Tür roch dann das Zimmer nach Abfluss, bei geschlossener Tür war der Geruch im Bad dann schwer auszuhalten. Das Problem haben auch andere schon vor längerer Zeit bemängelt und es ist schade, dass es offenbar nicht behoben werden kann, denn eigentlich ist das Captain Cook ein superschönes charmantes Pub-Hotel. Schade auch, dass der schöne Pub kein Frühstück (mehr) anbietet.

Wonderful, friendly check in. Room was excellent. Spotless, quiet and lovely hot shower. The pub is great with excellent tapas. It’s in a great spot ( we were going to Craven Cottage) so plenty to do and see in the area. Would absolutely recommend and hope to be back next season.

Honestly felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Two/three flights of narrow stairs, no lift, shared bathroom and shower. My first night the maid almost walked in as I was changing and asked why I hadn’t checked out, even though I had one more day. The worst part about it was the noise. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and this was the noisiest stay. Even late at night, cars are going by and drunk people walking down the street. Then in the morning garbage collection. It truly was my least favorite stay. I thought it would be more charming but it was not. Basic room, basic amenities. The location was not as close to the train station as I would have liked and the pub closes early. So overall, not great. The one shining light was that Fulham seems like a cute little residential area and so I felt very safe.

There is no noise cancellation in the room and the roads outside are too noisy. Almost impossible to get any sleep due to the noise. The rooms otherwise are spotless and the staff is really friendly

Super leuke kamer boven een pub. Eten is heerlijk en goed betaalbaar. Personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De enige minpunten waren; weinig water uit de douchekop. De ramen van de kamer zijn echt aan vervanging toe. Geen goede (geluids)isolatie. Ramen zelf maken maken herrie (wind) en vanwege het drukke verkeer zeer luidruchtig. Oordopjes zijn zeker aan te raden. Verder erg schoon en knus.
