We loved everything about the lodge, the rooms were very clean and the rustic decor made us feel like we were right at home. The owners we very friendly and nice. We ate supper at the restaurant and it was very good. The staff were wonderful they told us a few places to go while we were in Valdez. We stayed in 8 different places on our trip to Alaska and this was our favorite!

Our stay was good, The room was comfortable. The staff went above and beyond under some strange circumstances....(short staffed in an emergency, power went out due to circuit breaker etc)

I loved the rustic setting of the lodge and the staff was super nice and caring. I only had one issue with housekeeping cleaning out my entire room and they did not check who was staying for more than one night. This is a great option if you are road tripping.

It is the oldest roadhouse in Alaska. The property is rustic, which adds character, and most spotlessly clean.

Very nice and spacious cabin, with private bathroom, great breakfast options served in a typical restaurant, very attentive and kind staff. The downside was the size of the bathroom, which was very small, but there was plenty of heated water at a good temperature.

We had a good stay. Very clean and comfortable. There was a little confusion with booking upon arrival due to something eith the 3rd party booking site, but they were really nice and helpful and got it sorted for us. It was just what we needed for a quick overnight rest along our way.

Historic old lodge, in the country, and adjacent to a fast flowing river. Has alot of character and fun place to stay. Staff was very friendly and place was clean. I would recommend a newer bed mattress for the one we had sagged due to our weights . Would stay again.

This a historic Roadhouse, reminiscent of my grandparents farmhouse. The new owners are bringing back the charm and history. Beautifully set on the river. Next door is their own bar and restaurant. Met some fabulous vacationers and swapped stories.

Cabin 1

New owners are working hard to maintain and improve this property. We enjoyed our One night stay in cabin 1. It's obviously old but pretty clean and in good condition overall.

Just need to remember you share a bathroom with others staying there. Bathroom is clean and nice not very good pressure. The beds are squeaky.
