"Bathroom had terrible smell, beds only had two small and thin pillows. The room was hot and didn’t cool down much. Had to open windows but was on alley side. There was constant banging in alley all night. Overall just okay to poor and definitely not worth the price paid. The staff were okay but could be more polite and courteous."

"It was a great location, we took advantage of the airport shuttle, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, and the bed was super comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for a nice shower after a long day of travel. The only negative about our stay was how much noise we could hear through the walls. Our room was adjacent to a busy road and we could hear every car that went by and every conversation outside our room."

"Poor rating because no warm or hot water for one hour or greater (8-9pm- we went to bed after that) on first of 3 nights and no hot or warm water at least 45min on our 3rd evening at 7pm. Water pressure fluctuated to near dribble morning & evening. Becaue the problem was after 6 pm , no one was available in person nor did anyone answer repeated phone calls, messages nor an email. The office staff during daytime was nice but were unable to help & said they'd check with management. We were refused any discount on the stay"

"I booked this hotel because of the name Wyndham and its reputation. The front desk was very helpful as were the people who took us to the airport. I just found the hotel in general pretty rundown with my room kind of dirty. There were crumbs on the floor and the furniture was pretty dusty and dirty. I was a single woman and would not recommend walking around the area as it seemed a little sketchy to me. The Lobby area even though it has a great bear on display lacks any Alaskan ambiance. Again people really nice, hotel just seems rundown."

"This was a piss poor hotel that claims to be higher end. So this gives them the audacity to charge us a RIDICULOUS price, PLUS a resort fee….. which we used zero of the services. Garbage service by the personnel there. They were cussing and swearing behind the front desk. I also asked for a cup of coffee in the morning and it was hot water. At least produce a decent cup of coffee for the extra you charged me….."

Coast Inn at Lake Hood

"The building is very dated. Our room had very worn carpeting & old furniture & you could see people walk in front of our room through a gap on the side of the door. The bathroom seemed updated so I hope the rest will follow. The adjoining restaurant & bar were VERY good. Great food, service & view."
