This is a gem of a resort. Beautiful property well maintained, excellent food and service, and alot to do including pickleball, nature walks, pool tables, hot tub and pool. Nice accommodations for a family of 4 (2 teenagers) where they each hot their own double bed. King size bed as well!! Highly recommend! Owner was super friendly and gave us a history of the area.

I liked the friendly staff and the amazing views of Lake Arenal from the dining area. The restaurant features 8 different artisanal beers that are brewed on the property. The pool is a decent size for swimming and the hot tub grotta felt very relaxing. The hotel also features fun games including pool billard etc. and other amenities. Overall a fun and relaxing experience.

The staff was great. Checkin was a little confusing because I had 2 reservations that I needed to merge. But that got sorted out well. The place is generally clean, but a little dated. There are a number of rooms that are out of service. My understanding is that a new investor started just last year and they are working through modernizing the place. For the price it was perfectly fine.

Pro: excellent restaurant and views. Great common areas Con: everything about the hotel room. Needs complete and thorough cleaning. Light switches were filthy. Bedding stained and faded. Walls and floors need thorough washing at minimum. fresh paint could go a long way toward a better quality experience
