Full of character as an authentic Riad, we were met and taken to the Riad to be greeted by Gilles, with a welcome drink and loads of information about the area: where to eat, where the main attractions were, safety aspects; and general tips. Breakfast was generous as part of the accommodation costs. Thank you Gilles Ghizlane, Saïda, Soumia for looking after us so well. We will always have fond memories of our stay at your Riad and without a doubt we would recommend your Riad to future travellers.

Perfect stay

We had an amazing stay at this Riad, Gilles and his team was always making sure we had everything we needed, and, traveling with a toddler means you sometime have different needs. The Riad Is so peaceful, the rooms are very spacious and the breakfast was delicious! We ate also dinner there one evening and it was very good as well. We will definitely come back to Marrakech and stay here again.

My husband & I loved everything about this beautiful Raid, the location is very safe, quiet and only a small walk to the hectic square. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and Giles and his staff were so friendly and hopefully. Two mornings we had an early start and it was no trouble for them to provide early breakfast which was very delicious. Staying at the Raid is a must when visiting Marrakech.

We had never stayed in a Riad before so it was a new experience. But it was great. Would definitely stay here again. This place is great value and Gilles and the staff are really helpful. Lots of nice touches like slippers and bathrobes. Yes you can find a Riah which is more luxurious, at a cost, but for us it was great

The property was as advertised, clean, spacious and in a very nice area with a less than 15 minute walk to the main square. The street just outside the entrance is nice and quiet and just at the end of it you get a street which is lively and full of small shops. What made this stand out and why I would recommend this instead of any other place to stay is the how well the host and workers treat you. They are extremely nice and accommodating as well as the breakfasts which are excellent

This was one of the best stays I had! The breakfast was AMAZING and our stay in Morocco was made so much better by our host and the staff here at Abaca Badra. The pickup from the airport was great, and when we arrived we were greeted with tea and an explanation of the areas of Morocco and helpful things to know. The room was equipped with argan oil, lotion, body wash, a blow dryer, robes, everything you could really need. We were able to get henna done at the riad as well which was very convenient! BOOK THIS RIAD!

Great place to stay. Gilles was a great host, very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with tea and biscuits, and always asked if we slept ok. Filtered water was great, and the breakfast kept us going for hours. The room was cleaned everyday. It is also a cat free sanctuary in a cat filled city.

We had a wonderful stay! The riad owner was incredibly kind and made us feel incredibly safe as two college aged females traveling by ourselves. He and his staff served us a lovely breakfast in the mornings and our room was cleaned each day. The owner gave us many tips about the city in terms of things to see and scams to avoid. The riad was is a convenient location- walkable to everything in the Medina and only a 2 minute walk from the main road where we could get picked up for our excursions. Would definitely recommend!

Best Riad! Gilles is the most graceful host and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. Gilles is so attentive to his guests. He helped us with our transfer to the airport and even accompanied us safely to retrieve our car to the airport. There is nothing this man wouldn’t do to make your stay great! Breakfast was always ready and waiting hot and delicious. He also offers dinner options which is great for those not wanting to go out. The Riad is very clean and beautiful. It’s located near many shops and restaurants. Great experience you can’t go wrong in choosing this awesome place.
