What you pay for

The air conditioning is centrally controlled throughout every room so it couldn’t be turned off, which I found weird and ridiculous. How can any establishment not allow you to control your own air conditioning, especially when their windows open wide enough to allow plenty of air through if necessary. That greatly effected our comfort as we had to use the little towel they provide to step on after getting out of the shower to cover the vent and have the heating on blast the entire night to be able to sleep and not freeze. Also the windows open far too wide to be considered safe, I’ve never been to a hotel where I’m able to throw myself out with room to spare if I wanted to. Gap at the bottom of the shower where all the water leaks out but good pressure and got nice and hot. Lift squeaks and grunts, could do with some oiling. Continental breakfast options not worth the €9.50 quoted by reception, also more than is stated on the Hotels.com website (€7.50). Good transport links though, and receptionists were helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable, though the pillows are never up to standard at any hotel so won’t single this hotel out for that.

I was staying in that property twice. First time everything was fine. I continued my European tour and returned to Paris three weeks later. I tried to book this property in my hotel in Caen, and there was not good network available, so by mistake I book it to wrong day. I didn´t notice that until in Paris on the way to hotel. I contacted Expedia, and ask them to change the date. I got answer, that in the hotel they could do it. They didn´t. I asked in reception could it be possible to use that booking I had made wrong to the night I was staying there. No way. I needed some place to stay anyway, so I booked room for the night, but I had to pay the price on the list, which was more expensive than in Trivago. Then, following morning I asked to have breakfast. I was ready to pay what needed. There was two young guys in the reception. They said if I had cash, I could have breakfast. I didn have cash, only card. They said Sorry, not possible. They couldn´t start computer and internet that was needed for the payment terminal (card reader). Maybe they didn´t know the password of the computer. So I didn´t have breakfast. I should say very poor service. Because all of this, I don´t recommend this property for anyone. Please, don´t go there. There´s other good places to stay in Paris available, for sure. Other Ibis hotels I was staying during my trip service was very good and comfortable, for example in Vienna.

O hotel é bastante básico: ar condicionado central ( sem opção de controlar no quarto), tampa do sanitário quebrada, fita de led decorativa pendurada na parede. Café da manhã mais de 9 euros e, definitivamente, não vale a pena. O destaque vai para a equipe do hotel, da recepção ao pessoal da limpeza, sempre solícitos e educados.
