A strange hotel experience. I stay in hotel ma a couple of times a week for work, and this just was not on par. Unclear reception area - and actually you find yourself at the bottoms of the stairs in a cluttered area of storage with a desk - no one to greet and I had to look around to find someone. Not a friendly check in experience, and had mixed messages around being able to have food delivered when I was unsure whether I was eating in the restaurant (I arrived circa 6 and was told chef likely to be going home soon!). Room was clean, but layout was odd, and no easy access to plugs for charging phone/laptop. No desk to work from, as cluttered with TV and kettle etc. Noise from the restaurant was not satisfactory - loud music filtered up (they give ear buds!). Turned off around 11 - finally some peace. When checking out at 9am the doors were locked, with a sign telling me to go back upstairs (carrying my case that I had already taken downstairs), and back down some small stairs to a different exit. For the price I paid for the room, it was over priced from an amenities and service perspective
