Unique and historic hotel. I love the antique decor and the staff/ owner were very friendly. No need to leave the hotel for meals as the hotel has a quaint restaurant, with various cuisine options and offers indoor/ outdoor dining. The chef is friendly and talented. He adds west coast flare to classic meals. The Captain Crunch french toast and patty melt were 2 favorites. He even helped jump my battery after I left my lights on! Easily, the best upcoming hotel in Deland.

Quaint, quirky property with all the oddities you’d expect from a hotel 100 years old. Extremely comfy bed with plenty of pillows. A couple of minor details that probably only a former hotelier would complain about… no tissues or drinkware (paper or plastic would have been fine) in the room. Staff… friendly and accommodating. Beautiful bar perfect for setting. Just a heads up, this property does not have an elevator.

People have commented on the bar: we're not really drinkers, but the personable bartender quickly offered my wife a "mocktail" which was tasty and, after a long day of driving I was happy to accede to one of the complimentary cold glasses of beer(or wine) available to hotel guests.
