Cosy cabin, nice surroundings

We stayed one night in summer. The cabin was clean and cosy, and staff were helpful. Arriving late was no issue thanks to the 24/7 reception. Booked via Hotels.com, unfortunately there was no info that bed linen and cleaning weren’t included, so double-check in advance. Nice peaceful spot, with a waterfall and beach about 2 km away. Overall, a pleasant stay!

The area around the hotel is beautiful and easily accessible for all kinds of snow sports. Having to pay extra for towels, bedding and cleaning seems excessive considering the cost of the stay.

Great little chalets, amazing views

The chalets were very comfortable, 2 separate rooms and decent sized single beds (some very tiny ones down in Abisko!). Sauna was wonderful! Views in the morning were stunning (we were second row from the front). Kitchen had what we needed and the food in Hotel Fjallet itself was delicious. On the down side, the numbers of the chalets were not marked particularly well and Reception couldn't book us a table for dinner, we had to go onto the website which was faffy but all good in the end.

Great views!

The hotel itself was pretty cozy. The staff were friendly, for the most part. They have a sauna, gym, restaurant, lobby bar, game room, and a bar downstairs. The views were incredible. There were a lot of activities to keep busy. The only downside is the cost to get to the hotel from the airport in Kiruna. There were no trains or buses available after our flight arrived or before we departed, so we had to pay for a taxi both trips. It cost us $268 for the drive to the hotel, and $238 back to the airport. The cab drivers will up charge you for everything, so be prepared.

We booked this, believing it was like a hotel room. It wasnt shown anywhere that you had to rent sheets, duvets etc for the beds. This cost us 225 kr per person... We asked the reception if we could just borrow, since we already paid 2000 kr for the room, but no.. Then the breakfast was not included so additonaly 500 kr to the room. The surronding area was very nice and we liked the nature. But if a family with small children askes if it possible to get bed supplies in the middle of the night, dont try to make money out of it. Restaurant was good, expansice but good.

Björkliden Fjällhotell

Hotellet har ju några år på nacken men känns väl inarbetat och tryggt! Rummen är välstädade och fräscha trots ett något äldre ytskickt. Personalen är trevlig, tillmötesgående och kunnig! Det finns bl.a bastu att tillgå. Restaurangen har mycket gott både till frukost och middag! Jag kan varmt rekommendera Björkliden fjällhotell!

Koselig frokostsal, helt greie rom med medium standard. Håndsåpa funket ikke så måtte helle fra flaska, ikke kjøleskap og små hodeputer.. ellers god og varierte utvalg til frokost, god mat fra restauranten, men vi måtte vente en time da appen vi bestilte maten i ikke fungerte fra hotellets side. Lite erfaring hos enkelte bartendere også dessverre…

Excellent location, but lacking communication

Very well located hotel, ideal position to watch the aurora without going far. Room was ok. There are several shared facilities like sauna, table football, bar which make the stay pleasant even far from all main facilities. The whole hotel was a bit cold to stay in. Staff on location was nice, but it was difficult to communicate with them before the stay to get info - they urged to book a table at the restaurant if we wanted to dine there, but never explained that there was a fixed menu for new year's eve (which I had asked through expedia never getting any reply), until we were sitting at the table

Perfekta platsen för norrsken och andra äventyr

Hela familjen är jättenöjda efter att ha firat jul på Hotell Fjället. Hotellet är mysigt och rogivande och ligger otroligt fint till. Frukosten har allt man kan önska och utöver det finns tillgång till lunch, middag samt en fast meny i lobbyn. Rummen har några år på nacken, men sängarna var supersköna och det var rent. Perfekta backen precis utanför hotellet för att ta sig en bit bort från ljuset för att spana efter norrsken. Smidigt att åka tåg till Abisko under dagen, om tågen inte är inställda dvs. Uthyrning av skidutrustning, snöskor mm. Dessutom dök självaste tomten upp på julafton! Vad mer kan man önska?

Mysigt ställe men med ett behov av renovering

Trevlig vistelse där viss personal var avsevärt mkt bättre än annan. Ffa uppskattade vi en söt kvinna i restaurangen. Man ansträngde sig i köket för att tillgodose oss med vegetarisk/vegansk mat vid förfrågan. Bästa hotellet av de vi bodde på under vår resa på 10 dagar. Men byggnaden har sett sina bästa dagar och skulle behöva renoveras, ffa badrummen. Ett plus dock för miljövänlig och trivsam hygienserie i form av tvål, schampo, balsam!

The hiking trails were incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet of visiting in the shoulder season. The food was amazing for dinner and the breakfast buffet. I was very grateful for how careful the staff was in regard to my celiac disease, all the gluten free food was wonderful and it was nice feeling safe to eat there.
