It is close to all the tourist attractions and activities. I like the view with the front of the motel is the Lake Superior you can sit there and watch, especially the sunset, we love watching that.

This no-frills motel has incredible views and is well located. We loved the row Adirondack chairs facing the lake and the sweet chairs outside our room. The management knows what the main selling point of the Sunset is. The breakfast was decent: we took our yogurts and danishes and went on a great hike. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Old fashioned yes, clean yes, fancy no but just a nice quaint relaxing quiet place. Chairs outside along the walls of Lake Superior. Actually had a clear view of the Northern lights that night we stayed.

A thorough fix up, caulking, and paint job would do wonders as a start. Screen door kept falling out of the track. Funky odors at times. Updated fixtures would be a bonus and make the experience more worthwhile as well as justify the cost. Bed was okay at best. Breakfast - marginal. Really - property has lots of potential but has lost its shine ...
