Thomas was amazing! He met us at the ferry port and helped pull one of our suitcases the 10 minutes to the room. The hotel is in a perfect location in Old Town with everything within a short walk away. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect stay

Bed so comfy. Decent size room, basic amenities but fine. Wow, Thomas is amazing. He met us at taxi which he also organised for us in request, took us to the room and gave us recommendations without us even having to ask. He was a star. The hotel could not be in a better location, HIGHLY recommend. It is not in a too busy or loud street either which is a huge bonus!

The absolute nicest staff and airport transport driver! Great location to explore the city and very clean. The only negative was the hot water didn’t last very long (had to take more like a warm shower if you had to wash your hair). Would definitely stay here again!

The room was very nice. A little bit more storage space in the bath would have been nice. And the guests who stayed in the room above us were anoying because we have heard every foot step.

Great location inside of the palace from where you can walk to anywhere. If you arrive by car it's only a short walk and conveniently located close to the port. Thomas was helpful with recommendations and helping us with our luggage. Unit was as described and the AC was very welcomed

100% recommend this awesome property!

The old part of Split is definitely a walking town. I contacted my host Marina the day before we arrived and her son Thomas met us the property. What a friendly and knowledgable young man! Our room was beautiful clean, with a small fridge, coffee, pot and kettle. The beds are extremely comfortable, bathroom was spotless and you couldn’t be the location! Staying right outside of Diocletian’s palace was perfect! We walked everywhere, and thoroughly enjoyed a walking tour of the city. When you come from Canada, it’s awesome to experience hundreds of year old culture and traditions. And the Croatian food is absolutely delicious, so is the wine! Our host was excellent with information on transportation back to the airport as well.

PERFECT ACCOMODATION

Perfect accomodation in the heart of the old town. Greeted by Franco at the airport €40. Then greeted by our host and he carried my bags to the apartment. Great spot, clean accomodation, comfy beds, fabulous shower & amenities. There is a restaurant either side of the accomodation which can get noisy but the double glazing helps with noise reduction. Our room was No.2 and was up to spiral staircases and steps outside to get to front door so just making you aware. I would recommend visiting the Fig Restaurant, AMAZING.

Perfect location

Great location in the old town steps from everything. I chose the virtual checkin because I wasn’t sure exactly when I would arrive but the instructions were simple to follow. The room was clean and in good condition. You are above a couple of restaurants so you can hear noise if you open the windows. It didn’t bother me … I actually enjoyed the breeze and waking up to the distant sound of church bells in the morning. As some mentioned, there is no lift but that also wasn’t an issue for me.

We did not get the hotel room we reserved. We were also told 2 days before our arrival we needed to pay in cash. Also, we ordered a driver to take us to our boat trip and the driver over slept putting us in jeopardy of missing our boat. The hotel room looked nothing like the picture we reserved!!!!’

Only bad stay in 3 weeks of holiday

I gave this hotel a 5 star for eco friendly only because there was no hot water in the room and my wife and I couldn’t shower or do our normal morning routine. They got us a little water going with 15 minutes to the shuttle and told me that should be plenty of time for my wife and I to get ready. It takes more than 15 minutes to get ready in the morning when we go camping. Horrible customer service, horrible food and overpriced for everything. Free shuttle from the airport but charge for $7.50 each to get back.

Overall a pleasant stay. Communication swift, friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, kitchenette well equipped. Tea/coffee supply was sparse but would probably have been replenished had we asked. The old town location is convenient but also prone to wafts of food odours from the restaurants in the yards to the left and right, busy preparations/service traffic in the morning, lively restaurants in the evening. For anyone considering a stay, ask whether the odour trap in the bathroom has been installed. During our stay the bathroom had a bit of a sewage stench that even the open window could not remedy. Again had we asked it may have been fixed during our stay. We didn’t but mentioned it to the host on departure. So hoping for a well smelling bathroom for future guests.

Clean room which was beautiful - within the old city - very close to Diocletian's Palace (maybe 3 minute walk?) and the waterfront. About a 15 minute walk from the main bus stop. The hosts were lovely! Easy check-in.
