We had a wonderful 5 nights. The staff were excellent. Food was amazing. Enjoyed the cooking class with Dimas, who was very helpful. The facilities and rooms were first rate. It is a bit remote, but perfect for a relaxing holiday and the transfers from ferry were very comfortable.

Fantastic weekend getaway!

Our 2nd-level garden suite was exactly as we’d expect – room was clean, with aircon & ceiling fan. The hammock in the patio was def a nice touch! Bicycles were available for easy access around the resort. The chicken coop and rabbit house are a must-visit!

The most hospitable and kindest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. My family has been there twice and on the most recent trip, my toddler son fell sick. The hotel staff were so thoughtful and caring, sending a nurse to our room and accommodating requests for things like thermometers, ice for a fever pack, specially cooked congee etc. I am beyond grateful for their care and we can’t wait to return so we can enjoy the resort again. I also give top marks for their kids club and babysitters, as well as the quality of family friendly activities such as the free sea sport activities. The food at their Indonesian restaurant Rica Rica was consistently delicious - try their beef rending and satays. The Residence is truly a gem in Bintan!

The staff was wonderful and breakfast was excellent. However, there is no beach that one would use for actually swimming. More like wet sand everywhere. In the 3 days that we were there not one person was in the water. No child with shovel and bucket making sand castles. Really no beach in the sense of what we are use to thinking a beach should be like. I actually wanted to leave the resort but my money would not be refunded.

Great stay except for tar.

All staffs are polite and courteous. Even before arriving, staff attending to email was great. Son love his small cornered bed at the living room. Only sad thing is the sea was polluted by tar. Tried to go to the sand bank which was beautiful, but when we went back to the shore, our legs were tainted by tar. Thought it was due to the speed boat nearby. But next day went to the beach outside our villa, same thing happened.. was told it was seasonal.. without the tar, it was perfect.. nice sea and able to walk far out in the clear sea.. just a pity, there are tar.. luckily we have some lotion to remove them..

The resort was over an hour from the ferry terminal so that was a negative factor for us when considering door-to-door travel. The staff were really fantastic, they definitely made the trip a pleasant experience and did everything to make us welcome and any support we needed. If the staff were not so amazing we would have been disappointed. The breakfast was great. The in-room dining food was ok, chips were often cold and not enjoyable, there was a limited selection of food, good for only 3-4 days. The rooms were of an ok standard, the cleanliness was excellent, and the housekeeping was great too. And the water boys, very fast. The kids rope course was closed, not advised in advance. The ATV and water sports staff were amazing too. Based on what we spent and the travel time though, in hindsight, I would have chosen a place in Phuket, close to restaurants and within 20 minutes of the airport. More variety and similar quality.

We had an amazing stay at Residences Bintan and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The Room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with modern comforts and a garden view. The staff were outstanding – friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Whether it was arranging transport, suggesting activities, or delivering meals, they made us feel taken care of without being intrusive. We loved the peaceful surroundings. It’s far from the busy tourist spots, which makes it ideal for relaxing and recharging. The beach nearby is quiet and clean, and we felt like we had our own private paradise. Night time good for star gazing. Overall, Residences Bintan is a hidden gem – perfect for couples, families, or even solo travelers who want a luxurious and peaceful escape. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

We booked this place for our wedding anniversary. The communication from the staff were excellent and they've been checking out on our stay through whatsapp and communicating all the matters promptly. They also sent in a complimentary cake and room decorations during our anniversary. The service is great and food was good too.
