Worst Icelandic hotel we stayed in.

Great location but otherwise, the worst hotel we staid in during our trip in Iceland. Dated but relatively clean room; however the mattress was very uncomfortable. We went for breakfast at 9:30 (they serve it 7-10) and almost all the items were gone, just a few random remnants. Basically, the experience was like in a cheap motel BUT the price was almost $400!

I felt less ripped off when I got pick-pocked it Rome than I did staying at Adventure Hotel. At least the pick-pockets only got less than a hundred books Adventure Hotel ripped me off of a lot more than that for a room the size of a jail cell, now that is a real crime. Not only was the room small as a prison cell, it was decorated about the same as a prison--no desk, one small chair, just two small pictures for decor. There were cracks and holes in the wall. The paint was damaged in numerous places. Half the baseboard was missing with loose wires hanging from the (insufficient) electrical outlets. The tub had been damaged and shoddy repaired with duct tape. I own my own airBNB. When I wanted to raise my rent, I put in nice flooring, granite countertops, beautiful furniture and decor and made it worth the higher rent. Adventure Hotel should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they charge per night for this dump. I stayed the next night in a one bedroom apartment, also on the south ring road side of Iceland, complete with full kitchen, living room, separate bedroom and bath for about a third of what I paid at Adventure Hotel. There are WAY better options than Adventure Hotel.

Bit disappointing

Very basic, new, clean but by no means can this property be called accessible . To get from the room to breakfast ( or dinner) you need to cross a big gravel area where wheelchairs cannot pass. The restaurant is expensive and the food mediocre at best. I understand previous reviews mentioning using frozen foods, this was extremely apparent in a veal cheek dish with mashed potatoes and a packet of frozen mixed veg arranged around it. The staff were lovely and friendly and accommodating

Sin duda la mejor habitación de las que hemos estado en nuestra estancia en Islandia. Todo muy nuevo, limpio y amplio. El desayuno estaba bien aunque bastante justo para ser un hotel de esa categoría. Quisimos reservar para cenar y aunque tienen servicio de WhatsApp para comunicarse con recepción y reservar, no nos contestaron. Fuimos directamente y nos dijeron que no podían darnos de cenar pese a que había sitio y quedaba una hora para cerrar.

Sehr schöne kleine Hütten, welche modern und einfach eingerichtet sind. Fußbodenheizung im Bad war bei den kalten Temperaturen klasse. Leider war der Abfluss der Dusche etwas verstopft, weshalb man das Wasser in der Dusche nicht mit einem hohem Druck nutzen konnte. Das Frühstück war gut. Das Personal war freundlich. In der Nähe gibt es einen schönen Wanderweg zum See Systravatn. Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen.
