Very nice and historic property with a great view. The restaurant is not open several days a week which was a downside given the remoteness, which left few options and made the place seem overly quiet. The staff were very very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful chateau, great location, helpful staff.

A warm welcome and an excellent room. Staff very helpful. A liitle disappointed that the restaurant was closed on the night of our stay (Monday) but the receptionist suggested local places to eat. She enquired on availability but all were booked. Drove to Saumur (15 minutes away) and found several restaurants. Breakfast was great and the views across the Loire river were uplifting. Would reccommend.

It changed ownership 6 years ago and this was my first visit since the change. It has lost some of the family charm, the menu is smaller, the house wine is now from Bordeaux from the owners vineyard and the internet in the bedrooms was inadequate. The stay was everything you expect from a four/five star establishment and the staff were of the correct calibre. The food remained exceptional. I probably will not be returning but would highly recommend if you want a romantic or peaceful weekend. The views over the Loure remain stunning.

Good: location overlooking the Loire river Bad: floor carpet is not ideal for this type of property as the grounds are all pebbles with dirt paths. Terrasse rooms are small and look like motel rooms, not a castle rooms. The staff is not friendly and looks condescending. There are no restaurants nearby. We either have dinner at the hotel or travel to Saumur. There are just a few coffee capsules provided, enough for one day. We have to ask for more and we're instructed to pay for these. Joli cadre dans un parc boisé, dommage que la signalétique ne permette pas d'arriver facilement à l'accueil de nuit. Il y a à ce niveau un premier axe d'amélioration. Le deuxième axe d'amélioration concerne le petit déjeuner qui est banal et ne correspond pas à celui attendu pour un 4*. Pain baguette, pain norvégien, quelques viennoiseries, yaourts, fromage, fromage blanc, oeuf brouillé, saucisse, lard, confiture industrielle, jambon, gravelax, oeuf dur, fruits, jus de fruits. Il manque des produits faits maison comme des gâteaux, brioches, un assortiment de charcuterie, des salades de fruits variées .... surtout pour un prix de 23€. La chambre en terrasse n'était pas au château mais nous avions une vue sur la Loire dès que nous arrivions au niveau du restaurant. En point très positif, le personnel de jour comme de nuit, à l'écoute et accueillant.
